Job Title: Software Dev Engineer Job Location: Bellevue, WA Duration: 3+ Months (Potential Contract to hire) Job Description/ Responsibilities/ Day to Day Activities: • Design and lead the development of new portals. • Design, develop, debug, and modifies components of software
applications and tools. • Have a strong eye for the operational aspects of the platform
such as deployment, performance tuning and monitoring. • Deliver a lot. Use your ingenuity, first class engineering
skills and deep technical knowledge to deliver features and
improvements efficiently. • Work with our customers to help them adopt our features. • Interact with Program Managers and Test Engineers to
contribute to and review functional specifications and test
cases. • Be a role model to the other engineers. • Demonstrate leadership and ownership by example. • Influence the engineering practices within and beyond the
team. • Drive technical direction at the application/product level for
small to mid-sized projects. • Design, spec, schedule and provide quality implementation of a
component or feature. • Provide alternative solutions to a given problem. • Resolve problems and roadblocks, with management assistance if
required. • Follow through on details and drive issues to closure. • Complete documentation and procedures for installation and
maintenance. • Actively participate in group technology reviews to critique
work of self and others. • Work collaboratively with all members of technical staff. • Collaborate with program management and testing peers in the
development of assigned components. • Participates in and provides input to requirements
definition. • Usually provides solid judgment calls and tradeoff
analysis. Required Skills: • 4 - 6 years of Web development experience - Required • Proficiency in Java and Spring MVC framework (.NET experience
is also acceptable) - Required • Expertise in HTML / CSS / JavaScript / JQuery - Required • Knowledge of server side design patterns and practical
application - Required • Strong experience with cross browser compatibility -
Required • Experience of client-side optimization best practices and
tools - Required • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and
continuous delivery principles - Required • Able to work closely with and incorporate feedback from other
engineers and product owner - Required • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent degree -
