Job Description:
Job Title: Java Automation Tester Job Location: Seattle, WA Duration: 6+ Months (contract to Hire) Job Description/ Responsibilities/ Day to Day Activities: • Develop xUNIT and regression automated test suites • Develop API/Web Services software test harnesses to execute
and evaluate performance of applications • Analyze and ensure Requirements / Agile User Story acceptance
criteria are met for test case creation • Mentor and train junior personnel in automated testing
technologies. • Tracking of test progress and results in JIRA • Perform root cause analysis for defects and suggestions to
eliminate future occurrences of similar defects • Act as "QA Lead" on project providing testing status,
participate in defect triage, and attend cross functional project
meetings Required Skills: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information
Systems, or other technical field • 3+ years of complex software application testing and/or object
oriented development • Experience in test automation (including 1+ years experience
with test automation of web services) • Proven ability to translate functional requirements and
use-cases into working test plans and test cases • Experience with (as a tester) Windows, Linux, Java, Spring,
Hibernate, REST and Oracle PL/SQL • Experience with Browser based regression testing tools such as
GEB or Selenium • Experience in design and creation of test automation using
xUNIT tools such as TestNG or JUnit • Having a pragmatic approach balancing best software practices
with the short term needs of the business is a must • Excellent communication skills - skilled at communicating with
technical and non-technical groups • Experience working in an Agile environment (Sprints)
preferred • Experience in a fast paced/eCommerce environment delivering
weekly releases preferred • Strong team player able to manage changing priorities and
assist other team members as needed • Preferential treatment (but not required) to candidates with
experience in: IntelliJ, Maven, GIT, Groovy and Atlassian Tools
