Job Title: PeopleSoft Functional Analyst Job Location: Seattle, WA Duration: 6 months (Strong potential for FTE conversion) Job Description/ Responsibilities/ Day to Day Activities: •
Administer and manage the Client’s automated financial Information
systems comprised of PeopleSoft Financials/HCM applications and
other interfacing systems, to optimize the Client’s accounting and
procurement business processes. • Provide project leadership to improve the quality and
responsiveness of Accounting and Financial Reporting (AFR) services
and systems and provide Port-wide training aligned with AFR
administered Port financials systems and processes. • Ability to assess projects/situations in an objective
manner. • Strong attention to detail for testing/process mapping. Must
work with well independently and be self-directed. • Must be able to handle escalations with ease. • Ability to gather and extrapolate data in accordance with
miscellaneous requests. • Ability to lead discussion and hold training sessions. • Ability to assess current processes and determine areas where
technology can streamline a process. • Must be able to creatively evaluate problems to propose
resolutions. • Ability to write and design functional and/or technical specs
as well as write and execute test scripts, ensuring all checks and
balances are in order. • Ability to perform Fit/Gap analysis and Root Cause Analysis on
system issues and/or upgrades. • Ability to create training materials and job aids for business
processes or technical process. • Ability to implement new business processes, refinements and
objectives. • Ability to participate in implementations, building scalable
processes ensuring requirements are integrated into standard
workflows. • Ability to analyze problems, data and SQR. Ability to
prioritize, assess project plans and lead training sessions for
small or large groups. • Ability to consider and evaluate alternative methods of
achieving customer’s goal and translate user needs into technical
form as a liaison with ICT. • Ability to hold self-accountable for executing key
deliverables. • Ability to determine root cause of issues/problems and
escalate to appropriate group. Ability to present proposed
solutions. • Ability to network with colleagues and other PeopleSoft user
groups to leverage best practices. • Ability to determine viable solution to fulfill customer
needs/request. • Ability to analyze and document data and information. • Ability to be resourceful and serve as a liaison between
workgroup and ICT. • Ability to troubleshoot system issues. Must have an awareness
of table level set up and mapping. • Ability to maintain project plan adhering to all deadlines and
keeping all partners in the loop and up-to-date. Required Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business,
Information Technology or any of the related fields. • 8 years of experience with complex automated financial/HCM
systems. • 6 years of experience with complex automated financial/HCM
systems. • 6 yrs of experience with PSFS/HCM applications and combined
experience to include implementations, upgrades, maintenance,
system configuration, report development, table structure and of
experience with Security administration. Preferred Education and Work requirements: • PMP or CPA. • 5 years of Accounting business practices and procedures. • 2 years of business process analysis experience. • 1 year of project management experience. • 1 year of web-related experience including building,
maintaining web pages, on-line forms, and experience with
