Overview
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit
organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking
research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in
Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer
Institute-designated cancer center in Washington.

transplantation, HIV/AIDS prevention, immunotherapy and COVID-19

merger that led to the formation of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center,
Fred Hutch has served as the cancer program for UW Medicine, and
Philanthropy is proud to raise funds that fuel the adult oncology
program on behalf of both Fred Hutch and UW Medicine. Following
board approval of an ambitious, 10-year comprehensive campaign, our
team of more than 100 will grow to more than 150 over the next
three years. Philanthropy staff implement high-performing,
relationship-based fundraising programs that engage and inspire
thousands of supporters who are passionate about preventing and
eliminating cancer and infectious disease. Our FY24 goals include
nearly doubling our annual fundraising, deepening our patient
family fundraising, and advancing the first phase our comprehensive
campaign through Fred Hutch's 50th anniversary in 2025. Our success
is made possible through a deep commitment to an inclusive
environment and operational excellence. The Philanthropic Gifts
Coordinator is part of the Gifts and Grants program within the
Philanthropy department. This position provides administrative
support and project coordination to leadership within Gifts and
Grants team, as well as direct support to several frontline
fundraisers. This position is a hybrid role with a minimum 2 days
per week at our South Lake Union campus. All applicants will need

Responsibilities
The Philanthropic Gifts Coordinator will take initiative and work
independently and collaboratively with team members within a
complex organization. They will maintain professionalism, show
flexibility, handle multiple tasks and changing priorities, and
remain composed under pressure of deadlines. The Philanthropic
Gifts Coordinator must be able to effectively communicate the
mission, values, and scope of the institution and work well within
all levels of the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
