Job Description:
Our high-tech client is looking for a passionate, highly skilled
Senior -Accountant -to join their growing Finance team. This is an
exciting opportunity to join a well-funded company in hyper-growth
mode. This is a hands-on position that will assist with driving the
improvement of tools, processes, and procedures to allow the
company to rapidly scale. The role is based in their -Seattle
Headquarters and reports to the Sr. Accounting
Manager.Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process
- Play a key role in preparation of internal and external
financial reporting
- Analyze monthly expense trending and budget versus actual
department expense activity to ensure completeness, proper cut-off,
classification and GL coding
- Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet
reconciliations
- Manage month-end travel, meals & entertainment review and
accruals
- Review month end reconciliations that other team members have
performed
- Review vendor invoices for proper GL coding
- Manage accounting and reconciliations for prepaid expenses and
deferred rent
- Assist with cost accounting, including cost of goods sold
cut-off and inventory valuation
- Subsidiary Journal entries and accounting support
- Research GAAP and other accounting issues as they are
identified
- Participate in, and help lead, critical accounting projects,
including the implementation of new accounting standards,
development of management reports and implementation of a new
modules and features within NetSuite
- Support external audit requests, specific to areas of
responsibility
- Help to create and maintain accounting policies, procedures and
process flow documentation
- Assist other departments with various accounting needs and
questionsDesired Skills and Experience
- BA/BS in Accounting required
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Public accounting experience required
- CPA preferred
- Thorough knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong understanding of internal controls
- Experience in the software industry preferred
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with various areas of an
organization
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
- Prioritize and solve problems with little supervision
- Well organized, ability to prioritize tasks and provide
high-level of accuracy
