We're a team of optimists working remotely around the world who thrive on challenges, good food and the power of play.Check out the Lyda Fire work sampler to get a feel for our projects.https://vimeo.com/657939527/a548c1468cAbout you: We're looking for a full-time Accounting Generalist (Remote), who'll have their hands in a little bit of everything: bookkeeping, project accounting and general office management. You'll track all of our projects' expenses, correlate them within Quickbooks and submit invoices to clients. You'll help with estimates, accounts payable and receivable. You're entrepreneurial and enthusiastic to take on the challenges on building and optimizing our office processes and procedures, including onboarding and CRM systems. Besides your key role in the project accounting, you'll also track PTO and sick balances, manage the company healthcare plan, prepare and process 401(k) and semi-monthly payroll for the company.   • Work with Client Relations Managers on project estimates, invoices and accounts payable
  • Generate invoices to customers and ensure that project billings are issued to clients and payments are collected
  • Bring agreement to our client accounting: A. Time tracking with Harvest, B. Project tracking with Monday & Google Sheets, & C. General accounting with QB Online
  • Stay abreast of budgets for each client, prepare for the frequent budget update reports
  • Generate project revenue and cost reports for client relations team and help identify areas of profit gain/fade and trends
  • Forecast our financial capabilities going forward, finding efficiencies
  • Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders
  • Report to management on project profitability, opportunities for additional billings and remaining funding available for projectsPayroll
    • Manage payroll, figuring and entering proper 401k deductions and taxes
    • Data entry of payroll changes for new hires/terminations
    • Pay contractor and vendors; collect W9s
    • Work with tax accountants to handle year-end closing processes, including adjusting entries, W2s, address & SS# verificationOffice Management
      • Manage the onboarding of new hires and training rollout
      • Ensure new hires' tax information is compliant
      • Work with our accountants ironing out discrepancies, etc.
      • Work with IT & leadership to assist with onboarding (equipment needs, access to proper systems)
      • Coordinate time and attendance process with payroll including tracking sick and PTO balances
      • Lead the switch to a reputable, streamlined 401k provider, replacing the current provider
      • Work with our team to determine additional internal software solutions (CRM/sales) Qualifications:
        • 2+ years of relevant experience (Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting preferred)
        • Experience with Quickbooks Online
        • General knowledge of Workers Comp, FMLA, ADA and FLSA
        • Familiarity with HR laws and best practices
        • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and G Suite
        • Strong written and verbal communication skills
        • Demonstrated ability to multitask
        • Strong organizational skills
        • Strong analytical abilities
