The Accounts Payable team has a wide range of responsibilities relating to all aspects of Fred Hutch's finances including payments, policy setting, recording liabilities for accrual purposes, and high-volume transaction processing. The team works closely with multiple groups within Fred Hutch to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
The Accounting Specialist II is an integral part of the Center's Accounts Payable team and performs a variety of functions including electronic invoice ingestions & quality assure, responding to internal/external customer inquiries and will work with the Accounts Payable Leads. The position reports directly to the Accounts Payable Manager.
Responsibilities

• 
  
• Serve as AP liaison between internal customers and suppliers
  
• Triage incoming inquiries
  
• Monitor and QA (Quality Assure) ingestion of electronic invoices in AP delivered system(s)
  
• Respond to internal/external customer inquiries and requests for information
  
• Load-level within AP team when required due to volumes or capacity
  
• Compile and provide supporting documents for audit activities
  
• Perform other responsibilities as required, including occasional administrative and clerical tasks
  
• Assist in month end/year end processing
  
• Ordering of AP supplies
  
• Responsibilities may vary as needed
  
  Qualifications
  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  
  • 
    
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
    
  • Minimum of two years bookkeeping, or accounts payable a plus.
    
  • Intermediate skills with MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
    
  • Person must be diligent and self-motivated with attention to detail.
    
  • Ability to process transactions consistently and accurately.
    
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    
  • Must have excellent work habits, including organization and timeliness.
    
  • Should have strong interpersonal communication skills and desire to work in team-oriented environments.
    
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    
    • 
      
    • Experience with PeopleSoft.
      
    • Experience with Hyland products.

      The hourly pay range for this position is from $22.64 to $32.23 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. -
