you.ThriftBooks has an opportunity for a Corporate Senior
Accountant to join our team in Tukwila, Washington. The Corporate
Senior Accountant's primary responsibility is to support the sales
and use tax compliance for Thriftbooks and support department
leadership on various accounting projects. Our team currently
operates on a hybrid work schedule.ResponsibilitiesSales and use
tax compliance, and monthly journal entries, including reviewing
invoices for use tax, in house returns, and gathering data, all
completed in a cost effective accurate and timely mannerEnsures
compliance with state and local sales and use tax laws and
regulationsMaintain fixed asset schedules and prepare related
journal entries and reconciliations for GAAP, assist with related
system conversion project, and prepare schedules to support annual
property tax filingsResearch and interpret indirect tax statutes
and regulations, as assignedPrepare miscellaneous tax returns and
assist with compliance of all tax licensesExecute all deliverables
by adhering to standard accounting principles and compliance
requirements, when applicablePrepare expense trend files and
account reconciliations, as assigned, during the month-end close
process, including ad hoc requests if neededPerform accounting
projects, as assigned, in support of month and year-end accounting
close, including preparation of financial audit requestsOther tasks
or duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting
or Finance from an accredited college or universityA minimum of 3
to 5 years of relevant experience, with public accounting
experience a plusDemonstrated knowledge of sales tax return
processes and related accounting procedures including month end
closing, journal entries, and account reconciliationsAdvanced
proficiency with Microsoft ExcelAbility and comfort summarizing and
interpreting financial data and information.Proficiency with Vertex
or comparable sales tax software, and Sage Intacct or similar
accounting softwareCompetencies Flexible and able to multi-task;
working within a rapid and unpredictable growth environment with
strong organizational and time management skillsAbility to
prioritize workload and function as primary owner of individual
projects, analyses, or processesExcellent analytical skills to
effectively evaluate data, identify variances, and resolve
discrepanciesAbility to consistently meet deadlines while producing
high quality work with a strong attention to

programBASE SALARY:$85,000 - $95,000/yr. This range reflects the
good-faith hiring base salary range for this position. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications such as skills, experience, and
