Details Job Details: We are currently seeking a dynamic and
experienced Senior Property Accountant specializing in Commercial &
Multifamily properties to join our Accounting and Finance team.
This is a permanent role that offers an excellent opportunity to
work with a diverse portfolio of properties and a team of
professionals committed to excellence in the real estate industry.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the financial
management of our commercial and multifamily properties, ensuring
accurate and timely reporting, and contributing to our overall
financial strategy. Responsibilities: As a Senior Property
Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited
to: 1. Overseeing all accounting functions for a portfolio of
commercial and multifamily properties. 2. Preparing and reviewing
monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. 3.
Conducting CAM reconciliations and ensuring all CAM charges are
accurately billed and collected. 4. Maintaining accurate records of
units, apartments, and multifamily properties in our portfolio. 5.
Utilizing property management software such as Yardi, MRI, RealPage
for all accounting and reporting functions. 6. Assisting in budget
preparation and financial forecasting for properties. 7.
Coordinating with external auditors to ensure successful audit
results and compliance. 8. Working closely with property managers
and operations team to ensure accurate financial reporting and
decision support. 9. Ensuring all transactions are in accordance
with GAAP and internal policies and procedures. Qualifications: To
be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must have:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A CPA or similar certification is preferred. 2. A minimum of 5
years of experience in property accounting, with a focus on
commercial and multifamily properties. 3. Proven experience with
property management software such as Yardi, MRI, RealPage. 4.
Strong knowledge of CAM reconciliations, units, apartments, and
multifamily accounting. 5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving,
and decision-making skills. 6. Strong communication and
interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with
all levels of the organization. 7. Solid understanding of GAAP and
other accounting principles and regulations. 8. High level of
integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and
