$110,000 - $135,000 per year A bit about us: Our client is a

development opportunities Job Details The purpose of this position
is to manage the day-to-day functions of the accounting department,
including prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records,
financial statements, and other financial reports for all the
financial aspects of the organization and any other contracted
financial service obligation, supervise, mentor and support
accounting staff. What You’ll Be Doing Oversee Accounting
Operations: Manage daily activities in the accounting department,
including transactions related to the general ledger, receivables,
payables, payroll, memberships, and financial reporting. Financial
Controls: Develop and maintain financial controls and guidelines
with the CFO. Accounting Policies: Implement consistent accounting
policies and procedures across all programs. Bank Reconciliations:
Review monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts. Financial
Statements: Prepare and coordinate monthly financial statements for
the organization and any contracted services. Annual Budget: Lead
the preparation and management of the annual budget. Monitor
Results: Analyze monthly operating results against the budget.
Board Meetings: Prepare financial information for board meetings
and other governance boards. Documentation: Supervise the
documentation of workflows, procedures, checklists, and policies.
System Management: Manage accounting system implementations and
upgrades. Software Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of
accounting software and databases. Benefits Administration:
Administer benefits including COBRA, 401k, 457, and Section 125
plans, ensuring compliance with required notices. Audit and Tax:
Provide information for audits and tax returns, resolve audit
findings, and address discrepancies. Customer Assistance: Assist
internal and external customers with various programs and services.
Monthly Billings: Supervise monthly billings to contracting
entities. Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards
and local, state, and federal requirements, and implement new GASB
and FASB standards. Internal Controls: Protect assets by
establishing and enforcing internal controls. Travel: May require
travel for trainings and events, typically not exceeding 5 nights a
year. Requirements Experience: 5 years in accounting, tax, audit,
finance, and budget with a nonprofit, and 3 years in a supervisory
role or demonstrated leadership ability. Education: Bachelor’s
degree in a related field; CPA certification within one year of
starting. License: Maintain a Washington State driver’s license in
good standing. What You Bring to the Team Knowledge: Extensive
knowledge of GAAP, GASB, and FASB updates and implementations.
Skills: Ability to perform and oversee essential accounting duties
for the organization and contracted services. Regulations:
Knowledge of Public Disclosure Commission regulations related to
