Job Description:
Amazon is seeking an Employee Benefits Manager to join our
Americas Benefits team. This role will be located in Seattle and
will partner extensively with internal stakeholders and external
partners on the strategy, design, and delivery of employee
benefits. Qualified candidates need to have industry experience
managing multi-country benefit programs and leading teams. The
ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and works
effectively with internal and external contacts. They have proven
abilities to manage multiple critical projects concurrently to
successful completion, and they should enjoy the challenges of
developing and improving programs and service delivery in a highly
dynamic environment. This role will be responsible for leading
benefits for Canada and identifying new opportunities to meet the
needs of our diverse and rapidly growing business. Periodic travel
is required. Key job responsibilities • Strategic Benefit
Management and Design – This position will be responsible for
Canadian benefit plans (statutory requirements and typical market
practices) and developing benefit program proposals that align to
Amazon's Global Benefits Strategy, including provincial regulatory
considerations across all Canadian jurisdictions. • Implementation
– You will be responsible for all implementation activities of
approved benefit programs, including selection and setup of benefit
providers, creating project plans, assembling resources, and
developing and documenting processes and policies through the
stabilization period. • Governance – Ensuring programs align to
Amazon's benefit philosophy and meet local regulatory requirements,
including federal and provincial legislation (e.g., Employment
Standards Acts, Quebec-specific requirements). This also includes
monitoring costs, financial impact, future funding requirements,
competitiveness of package, and ensuring adherence with regulatory,
legal, and best practice approaches. • Expansion Program Management
– Act as subject matter expert for expansion activity within
Canada, including setting up new entities, new benefits, and
implementing global programs. • Consulting – Become a trusted
advisor to the International Compensation and Benefits team, local
HR, payroll, and our vendors to ensure high-quality delivery of all
benefit programs and initiatives. • Communication and Influence –
Communicate the value of new or existing benefits programs and
provide recommendations on design changes that will enhance our
employees' quality of life. Influence stakeholders to gain buy-in
and approvals. • Vendor Management – Directly manage vendors.
Recommend standards for vendor performance. Maintain vendor
performance by identifying and monitoring performance issues and
ensuring resolutions. • Process Improvements – Identify areas where
Amazon can deliver benefits more efficiently and effectively.
Implement solutions at a country, regional, or international level.
• Apply Data & Voice of Customer – Use metrics to form POVs and
drive decision-making. Participate in efforts to define a VoC
framework for gathering employee feedback and using meaningful

relevant field experience - Experience in employee benefit plan
design including healthcare, workers compensation and pension
schemes along with associated complexities of plan administration,
associated payroll processes, country level regulatory requirements
and benefits program taxability - Speak, write, and read fluently
in French and English with respect to complex technical
instructions and concepts - Bachelor's degree or equivalent -
Experience in English-language communication skills, both written
and verbal - Can communicate effectively with all levels of the
organization - Experience in ownership of projects and
communicating timelines and executing independently - Experience
that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and
effective communication abilities, or experience in managing and
troublshooting network - Experience in vendor management -
Experience driving improvement programs in the operations,
engineering and support fields - Experience creating and
implementing large-scale programs - Experience that includes strong
analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication
abilities, or experience working with customers with a passion for

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers
