Job Description:
The Company You---ll Join At Carta we create owners and make
private markets liquid. We live in a world where some people live
on the equity stack and enjoy exponential wealth growth and
preferential tax treatment; others live on the debt stack and may
work their entire lives for a company and retire only with the cash
they---ve managed to save from their paychecks. Our contribution to
solving the wealth inequality problem is moving people from the
debt stack (payroll) to the equity stack. By making it as easy to
issue equity to employees as it is to put them on payroll, we can
create more owners. At Carta, we are helpful, transparent, fair,
and kind. We are relentless executors, unconventional thinkers, and
masters of our craft. Learn more about our Series G fundraising

Team is a scrappy bunch of content strategists and journalists.
We---re passionate about democratizing equity ownership, increasing
access to financial education, bringing valuable insights and data
to the venture ecosystem, and spreading the word about Carta. The
team sits within the Marketing team, which encompasses Marketing,
Channel, and Policy & Government Affairs. Your teammates have
written books, won on Jeopardy, founded successful companies,
created and sold TV shows, and led the rebrand of Carta from
eShares. The Problems You---ll Solve With the Great Resignation and
remote revolution rippling through the U.S. workforce, there---s a
new need for thoughtfully researched stories and help with
problem-solving big issues of compensation---like how to recruit
and retain employees, how to compensate people fairly, and how to
manage a newly distributed team. As a Staff Writer, Your Work Will
Help Us Solve Your work will fuel our content team---s editorial
calendar and our brand team---s strategic bets. Education: You---ll
collaborate with subject matter experts in the company and outside
it to create wildly helpful educational content that helps people
at private companies make decisions on how to recruit talent and
compensate their employees fairly. You---ll do the same to educate
those employees on how compensation works and how to know their
worth. Perspective: You---ll research and write pieces that bring
insight to trends and topics on compensation, interviewing sources
and working with our data storytellers to give insights. Impact and
awareness: You---ll partner with the greater marketing team to tell
compelling, relevant stories across many platforms about who we
are, what we stand for, and what we offer, crafting both long-form
(stories) and short-form (copy) as needed. Ideas and strategy:
You---ll stay on top of trends and company initiatives to
contribute creative and strategic content ideas for stories and
series. Content performance: You---ll monitor your works---
performance to goals including engagement and conversion, exploring
ways to change strategy when needed based on your results.
Efficiency: You---ll deliver consistent, on-time results, managing
and communicating your time in order to work on many pieces at once
to deadline. About You You are a deeply curious professional writer
who loves working collaboratively and driving results. You---re
passionate about communicating complex ideas and insights through
clear and accessible writing that lands meaningfully with your
audience. You---re a crackerjack wordsmith who brings a
journalistic approach and a strategic mind to every piece of
content you create. You understand the content funnel and are full
of ideas to reach target audiences every step of the way. You
thrive on deadlines---not only meeting them, but communicating them
across teams. Ideally, you---re also passionate about employee
compensation, have a strong grasp of equity fundamentals, and feel
a genuine empathy for founders. But if you have eagerness to plunge
in, heart for our vision, and serious skill as a writer with
experience in content marketing: Let---s talk. Covid Vaccine Policy
In an effort to safeguard the health of our employees, Carta has
implemented a policy requiring all new hires to receive the COVID
vaccine (including boosters as the individuals become eligible for
them). Proof of vaccination will be required as a condition of
employment. Carta will continue to comply with applicable laws
regarding the reasonable accommodation of individuals with
disabilities and/or strongly held religious beliefs. This policy is
part of Carta---s ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and
well-being of our staff and community, and to support public health
efforts. We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to
providing a positive interview experience for every candidate. If
accommodations due to a disability or medical condition are needed,
connect with us via email at recruitingcarta.com . As a company, we
value fairness, helpfulness, transparency, leadership and build our
teams around these values. Check out our careers page to get to
