As part of Gartner Sales, Marketing, Communication, and Customer Service practice, you will help equip Marketing Leaders to be as effective as possible in Content Operations. This primarily involves strategies and functional practices for managing content production and publication, part of which includes higher level guidance on content management platforms.Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create must-have research, market predictions and best practices for a broad range of world-leading organizations. A Senior Director serves as a leader within Gartner's Research and Advisory sector, establishing oneself as a credible voice within their designated market at local, regional and global levels. Utilizing exceptional research and analytical skills, a Senior Director plays a significant role in producing pragmatic and provocative research which Gartner clients consume and apply to propel their business toward key objectives. They are a trusted source of advice for clients, reinforcing Gartner's value every day by engaging them via in-person meetings, virtual meetings, sales support visits and Gartner conferences to discuss complex client challenges and offer appropriate recommendations.What you will do:

  • Create research in multiple formats (ie writing, video, infographics) on best practices in content operations for marketing leader clients
  • Deliver high quality actionable advice and represent thought leadership through video-based presentations and discussions with marketing leader clients
  • Remain ahead of the curve on developments and issues within the specified subject matter areas below as well as applicable adjacent areas
  • Lead webinars and present at Gartner live and virtual events on mission critical marketing topics for MarketersThis role requires subject matter expertise in:
    • Managing marketing content production orchestration and publication (e.g. team processes and approvals, content tagging, cross-channel management of content, content reuse and optimization, archiving content)
    • Working knowledge (not deep expertise) of the functionality available through leading major content operations platforms (e.g. CMP, PIM, DAM, and work management platforms)
    • Marketing content team organization (e.g. essential roles, org structure, centralized versus decentralized team management)
    • Content governance (e.g. setting up a governance committee, governance deliverables, global vs. local relationship of content)
    • Monitoring and managing content performance (e.g. content performance dashboards, analyzing content type performance)
    • Managing in-house and external agencies and resources (e.g. what content skills to bring in-house, managing collaboration across agencies, when to hire contractors)What you will need:
      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred
      • 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience
      • Demonstrate executive presence; can immediately establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders
      • Strong organizational skills; ability to work under deadlines and produce high quality deliverables
      • Demonstrate excellence in research and writing ability
      • Ability to work independently, while also being intrinsically motivated to collaborate across teams and support the workflow of others, in a multicultural global team
