You'll be working closely with a well-established, highly motivated team of marketing professionals and technical experts from across all UMC's business lines to lead, support, and enhance company-wide marketing, brand building, and business development efforts, primarily writing, editing, designing, and quality control of content to produce top-of-the-game proposals, qualifications, and sales collateral. Essential Job Functions:--- Leading, developing, writing, and designing proposal submittals.--- Independently leading, planning, facilitating, and documenting proposal strategy meetings, as well as completing proposal strategy plans.--- Creating strong and unique benefits, messages, and themes specifically tailored to individual client and project needs.--- Editing proposal content developed by technical/lead staff.--- Developing and ensuring content complies with RFP/RFQ documents, including proposal development schedules, outlines, and assignments.--- Laying out complex multiple page proposal content in a graphically pleasing way using established Adobe InDesign templates.--- Ensuring quality control of proposals.--- Conducting proposal close-out activities.--- Leading, planning, facilitating, and documenting interview strategy meetings.--- Developing and executing interview strategy plans, including selection panel analysis, creating strong and unique benefits, and developing messages and themes.--- Creating slide decks for the interview.--- Coaching interview teams through mock presentation and Q&A sessions.--- Developing and ensuring compliance with interview requirements, including interview development schedules, outlines, and assignments.--- Facilitating and documenting debriefing sessions post-interview.--- Developing graphics/infographics utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite to support proposal submittal and interview material content.--- Interviewing technical staff to obtain project-specific information, as well as assuring information is received in a timely manner to meet deadline requirements. Dissecting collected information and turning it into compelling content for marketing collateral, including proposals, resumes, cut sheets, and project profiles.--- Maintaining proposal and interview document branded templates; ensuring template formats are accurately and consistently applied.--- Developing staff resumes, project profiles, and other standard branded collateral.--- Leading development of award submittal applications.--- Performing data entry and maintenance in marketing-related areas of the database (Unanet CRM by Cosential).--- Assisting or leading people and project photography; working with vendors, sizing, labeling, and organizing for marketing department's use.--- Assisting with market research efforts.--- Assisting or leading the planning/coordinating of business development and project-specific events.--- Ensuring the UMC brand is represented with consistency and adheres to graphic and voice standards. Maintaining and continuing UMC's brand integrity, quality, and reputation.Secondary Job Functions:--- Participating in planning and coordination of corporate and community events.--- Supporting internal and external communications efforts and content creation, such as press releases, technical articles, website content, blog, social media, and company intranet content.--- Assisting with posting content to company intranet and website.--- Participating in the creative development and execution of marketing campaigns.Skills & Education Required to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job:--- Strong mix of writing, editing, visual layout, and graphics capabilities.--- Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.--- Excellent written and oral communication skills.--- Excellent time management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple simultaneous projects and deadlines efficiently under pressure.--- Ability to stay organized, focused, efficient, and collaborative in a deadline-driven environment. --- Strong attention to detail.--- Team-oriented, collaborative, resourceful, respectful, proactive, and a positive can-do attitude. --- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).--- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).--- Ability to work overtime, as needed, to meet deadlines.--- Maintain a valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.Supervisory Responsibility: NoneEducation Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job: Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in English, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.5-7 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably in the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.Additionally:Please send a .pdf with a cover letter, resume, and work samples that highlight your writing and graphic design skills.\u0026#8239; UMC is committed to a culture of inclusion and connectedness.
