UMC Mukilteo, WA General Position Summary: Provide project management support for Project Managers through effective communication, negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document control, and forecasting of costs and profitability. Support and collaborate with company superintendents, foreman, engineers, detailers, and management to deliver quality and profitable projects.Essential Job Functions:1. Assist in the bid process and the procurement of new work2. Estimate and negotiate change orders3. Track, forecast, report labor hours and material costs4. Buyout major equipment and subcontracts5. Expedite and track deliveries of major equipment/materials6. Maintain working knowledge of general conditions, work scope and specifications of project contract/subcontract7. Maintain and control documents in compliance with UMC Standards as well as contractual compliance8. Collaborate with field labor supervision to plan, organize and schedule project work including preparation of subcontract/contract integrated project schedule9. Review contract drawings, detail drawings and specifications 10. Prepare fabrication shop work package including detail drawing review, material take off and buyout, and man-hour fabrication budget11. Ensure full compliance with UMC Safety Program at the jobsite12. Regular attendance and promptness are considered part of each employee's essential job functions.Secondary Job Functions: 1. Maintain client relations2. Develop and retain mechanical systems knowledge including engineering, estimating, construction practices, and financial management.
