Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Engine Simulation Engineer (
Level 3) to support the BCA team. This position is location in E
verett and Seattle, Washington .
The candidate for this position will work with our Engine Company
partners and Industry leading simulator suppliers to build an
extensive simulation framework to support our latest design and
operation of commercial Airplanes. Simulation architecture consists
of Engine and Airplane models ranging in size and complexity based
on customers' needs to provide the Airline pilots with a simulator
to fly our airplanes virtually for Pilot training. Collective
models will incorporate latest software updates from Engine
Companies and Airplane teams into a simulation of complex systems
supporting our Airline customers training needs.
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be
required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location
Develop and maintain engine simulation models for all BCA airplane
Revise engine simulation models to reflect updated engine
Coordinate customer issues with Customer Service Engineering.
Test engine models in integrated environments like labs and
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements,
therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. - 120.15 is
required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5 years of experience in simulation
Ability to understand logical diagrams. i.e. logical blocks, math
Intermediate programming ability in one: Matlab, Simulink, Python,
Understanding the concept of open/closed loop control
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10+ years of professional experience in simulation
Advanced programming ability in one: Matlab, Simulink, Python, C++,
M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering, computer science or related
Experience with debugging -complex systems
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical
education from an accredited course of study in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)
and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET
accreditation is the preferred, although not required,
