The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Equipment Engineer (Designer Engineer) based out of Seattle, Washington.

This Equipment Engineering position is part of the Metrology And Test Equipment Services (MATES) organization within Boeing Test and Evaluation. Equipment engineers within MATES supports BT&E equipment needs in various Puget Sound locations with a focus on FAST and Flight Test support near Boeing Field. Support includes various complexities of equipment procurement from flight line stands to stationary CNC manufacturing equipment.

Coordination with customers, equipment vendors, and facilities team to ensure a smooth and timely procurement process will be required. Additionally, MATES equipment engineers support the initial testing, defining the equipment maintenance plan, and provide technical support to the equipment maintenance technicians.

Position Responsibilities:
Evaluates program and project requirements, develops complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions to support Boeing Test & Evaluation

Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, identifies robotics, automation or technology recommendations and system integration for equipment and tooling

Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements

Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares

Conducts training for production and maintenance personnel

Develops and implements work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation

Performs studies and make recommendation for disposition of assets

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience with manufacturing (or CNC equipment)

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
