Job Responsibilities POSITION DESCRIPTION: Primary role will be responsible for the complete product life cycle management (design, implementation, maintenance, operations, technical escalation, etc.) of several software products that are used enterprise wide within the City of Seattle. The ITSM engineer will lead efforts in a matrixed/team environment with internal and external department employees. This includes overseeing the architecture, design, implementation, testing, administration, and management of various service components of the in-scope platforms. The core responsibilities for this position are the following: Product Life-cycle Management

* Support development and coordination of product roadmaps with product owners. * Regularly meet with service managers and other stakeholders to understand departmental needs and issues. * Communicate products capabilities and direction to stakeholders of all levels of the organization. * Plan and schedule product updates and enhancements.

* Coordinate with stakeholders on maintenance and upgrade outages. * Responsible to obtain proper approvals (project stage gate, change management, etc.) * Resolve technical product issues including outages and bug fixes.

* Develop, test, and deploy new feature sets. * Develop the products to meet business requirements. * Develop and maintain integrations with other tools, systems and data sources. * Design system and business data structures and maintain data integrity. * Perform regular operational activities for supported platforms which include security administration, performance management, monitoring, data extraction/transform/loads (ETL), and network connectivity.

Vendor Management

* Maintain constructive and positive relationships with all associated vendors. Stay up to date on the company and appropriate product roadmaps. * Communicate vendor interactions and share known issues. * Identify product roadmap impacts, risks and opportunities.

Training and Education

* Support any related training activities on the ITSM products. * Help stakeholders understand the value of the product and maximize its potential.

Data and Reporting:

* Develop, test, and deploy reports and online dashboards within the ITSM products. * Build and maintain data integrations between the ITSM products and other platforms.

Qualifications Required Qualifications : NOTE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for the required qualifications except where specifically noted.

* Five+ (5+) years software engineering, development, and programming. * ITIL Foundation (or higher) certification. * Excellent communications skills, both written and oral. * Excellent time management skills. * Ability to work in fast-paced dynamic environment with many customers and competing priorities.

Desired Qualifications :

* BA/BS degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, business management or a closely related field. * Project management training or certification. * Knowledge of current security standards
