you.About the roleWe are looking to hire an--experienced Full
Stack--Senior Software Quality Engineer--to join the ZHL-- team for
Zillow Mortgages. This is an excellent opportunity for you to join

fast-paced, dynamic environment to ensure that our solutions meet
the defined requirements and make our users' lives easier. This
role is essential in ensuring quality in our lending processes to
scale our new lending business. We are seeking to find an ambitious
individual who can make an impact as both a leader and individual
contributor by raising the quality of our products to the highest
level.What you'll do:
- Actively lead and enhance the test processes to meet quality,
compliance, and business objectives.
- Creatively generate and review test plans and test cases with
committed focus in executing them with the team.
- Become an authority in each feature area with a solid knowledge
of interrelated services.
- Develop testing scenarios/cases to address areas such as
database impacts, functional scenarios, regression testing,
boundary/negative testing, usability.
- Be accountable for the quality throughout the software
development lifecycle, including production; set the championship
bar for quality.
- Identify, log, and triage weaknesses in our user experiences
and technology.
- Coordinate feature releases, collaborating across the product
teams and operations groups.
- Identify and monitor metrics to keep track of the health of our
technology and business.
- Drive operational excellence and improve the test automation
strategy and implementation with the development team.
- Debug test automation failures and environmental issues,
analyze test results, and guide the dev team on ways to improve
coverage.
- Influence and educate the developers, PMs, and business owners
on your product team on successful testing practices.
- Provide daily updates to related teams on progress against the
timelines and goals, identifying risks as appropriate.
- Be prepared to work and deliver in a start-up like
environment.--This role has been categorized as a Remote position.
"Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office
workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their
choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live
in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain
cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a
specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as
part of their role.In Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York
City the standard base pay range for this role is $115,500.00 -
$184,500.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to Colorado,
Connecticut, Nevada and New York City and may not be applicable to
other locations.Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or
equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of Test experience with software
technologies covering user experience, service API, business
workflows, and backend job processing.
- You have excellent planning, coordination, and communication
skills.
- You are ambitious and passionate in driving quality in all
aspects of the software life cycle.
- You are knowledgeable in the agile/scrum development process
and can handle rapid release cycles.
- You have strong project management skills to ensure the work
your team is doing is on-time, while proposing trade-offs and
providing risk assessment to business owners.
- You continue to educate yourself to learn and improve your
testing craft.
- You have team spirit and a collegial attitude.
- You have experience with REST APIs with data validation.
- Experience working with .Net, C#, Java, Python, React, SQL,
GitLab CI/CD and/or AWS is a plus.
- Experience with Source Control and Version control tools is a
plus.
- Experience using Atlassian products for Test Case and Defect
Management is a plus.
- Experience leading an offshore team is a plus.
- Able to work independently with little or no direction and with
less documentation in a fast-paced environment--In addition to a
