(BCA) Data Analytics & Integration team is seeking an enthusiastic
Engineering Data Scientist with advanced knowledge in machine
learning techniques, advanced statistics, text analytics, and
natural language processing to join our hybrid team in Everett,
WA.Position Responsibilities:
- Modify and analyzes standardized data sets using analytics
techniques such as machine learning, statistical analysis,
mathematical optimization and simulation.
- Applies algorithms to create descriptive, predictive or
prescriptive models to achieve analysis and project
deliverables.
- Through visualizations and summarizations, define performance,
identifies trends, outliers and drivers.
- Prepare data for analysis: e.g. cleansing, conditioning,
transforming, handling missing fields, identifying new feature
variables and handling multi-variate data.
- Leads identification of best-fit data science methodology
(statistics, machine learning, optimization, simulation) given the
data and business applications.
- Leads the evaluation and validation of model performance.
- Leads the determination of analysis requirements given business
objectives.
- Matches data to requirements and performance metrics to support
analysis.
- Prepares decision support visualizations and reports,
algorithms, models, dashboards and/or tools. This is a hybrid
position that allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate
will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed
location options.The position must meet Export Control compliance
requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R.
120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful
permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors of Science degree or higher from an accredited course
of study in data science, machine learning, applied statistics,
mathematics, computer science, engineering
- 2+ years of experience in data science or analytics
- 2+ years of experience in database management, programming,
statistical modeling and/or machine learning (SQL, R, Python, JMP,
Tableau, etc.)
- 2+ years of experience in performing statistical analysis
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Master's degree in data science, machine learning, applied
statistics, mathematics, or other analytics oriented scientific
field of study
- Experience working with analytics technology stacks; Azure,
Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Teradata, etc.
- Good organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving
skills
- Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and
unanticipated events
- Highly motivated and must work well in a team environment
- The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in
writing
- Experience in commercial aviation business or
engineeringTypical Education/ Experience:Education/experience
typically acquired through advanced technical education from an
accredited course of study in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g Bachelor) and typically 9 or
more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of
technical education and experience (e.g. PhD +4 years related work
experience, master +7 years related work experience). In the USA,
ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required,
accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation
