Our teams focus on delivering innovative solutions and services that power our customers' most demanding applications and enable them to extract powerful insights from data that drive true business value.Redapt is looking for a self-motivated highly experienced DevOps Engineer with deep experience in the Cloud Native (CNCF) stack, managed and self-hosted Kubernetes and DevOps Automation of the full stack from infrastructure through applications.The focus of this role is helping our clients develop and deploy Kubernetes clusters and workloads using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps tools and processes. In this role, the qualified candidate will have customer-facing experience in hands-on software development roles. The qualified candidate is expected to possess cloud solution engineering skills as well as experience in building out architecture utilizing the latest in Cloud Native and IaC technologies.Cloud Focus: CNCF, Kubernetes, DevOps, and Cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, on-premises private cloud) Responsibilities

  • Participate in requirements gathering, analysis and solution development for cloud-based solutions
  • Partner with client and Redapt project teams, functional architects, systems specialists, and other technical resources
  • Hands-on engineering implementation for client projects, developing scripts, automation, pipelines, and other components to deliver Cloud Native solutions
  • Participate in technical presentations and technical deliverables
  • Provide technical input for implementation teams while working in a coordinated manner to deliver and deploy the designed architecture
  • Provide thought leadership input on Cloud Native & Code topics through publications and speaking engagements as needed
  • Support the development and growth of Modern Data Center Practice / DevOps Team with a focus on Cloud Native, Kubernetes, and DevOpsProfessional Qualifications
    • Hands-on experience implementing cloud and Cloud Native architectures at an enterprise level
    • Familiarity with enterprise architecture and design patterns, modeling techniques and methodologies
    • Deep expertise with open source and/or leading commercial distributions of Kubernetes; Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) preferred
    • Deep hands-on experience with DevOps automation tools for the full stack, such as Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, Jenkins, ArgoCD
    • Experience with at least one of the following cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud
    • Experience with SUSE Rancher preferred
    • Experience building CI/CD pipelines
    • Proficient with PowerShell and/or Bash; Experience with additional programming languages such as GoLang, Rust, Python is preferred
    • Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, HashiCorp Terraform, HashiCorp Vault is a plus
    • Understand infrastructure architecture topics, such as network topologies, load balancing and segmentation
    • Understand software architecture topics, such as microservices, state management, designing for automation, security and observability
    • General knowledge of Security, Authentication, MFA, Authorization, B2C, Data Privacy, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Cryptography / Key Management, Access Controls and Security Protocols a plusEducation and Experience
      • You have 3-5+ years overall industry experience
      • You have 2+ years of experience developing and operating projects and deployments in a cloud
      • You have 2+ years of experience with cloud solutions, platforms, and technologies
      • You have 1+ years of experience working with Kubernetes in a production environment
      • Must have extensive working experience with at least one of AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud technologies
      • Mid-level to Expert level experience with Terraform in cloud environments
      • Experience supporting business development (Pre-Sales, Solution Architecture, Pricing, and Proposal Development) preferred
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experienceAdditionally, you will stand out if you have the following

        • Operations of large-scale Kubernetes clusters including experience with the complex architecture and operations issues you encounter at Day 2 and beyond
        • Prior experience in software engineering roles
        • Experience implementing and operating platform solutions running on Kubernetes, such as developer platforms or machine learning platforms
        • Deployment and operations of SUSE Rancher
        • Deployment and operations of Red Hat OpenShift
        • Deployment and operations of VMWare Tanzu
        • Deployment and operations of a Kubernetes Service Mesh, including ingress strategies, routing, and security
        • Deployment and operations of Kubernetes in an air-gapped environment
