The Mobility & Surveillance (M&S) Organization is seeking an Associate Product Security Engineer to support the E-7A campaign within the M&S portfolio in Seattle, WA.

The M&S PSE team is responsible for the security, resiliency, and safety of our products and services. The programs that we support include the E-7 Airborne Early Warning and Control, P-8 Multi-mission Maritime Patrol Aircraft, KC-46 Tanker, and Presidential Aircraft (VC-25B).

You will be joining a team of advanced security engineers from across the Boeing Enterprise, who are jointly developing best practices, techniques and tools, and a community to draw upon to deliver best value to our customers.

A successful candidate will highlight their interest in software and system security, experience working in team environments, designing cybersecurity into systems, and supporting system and software development, integration and test. These systems cover information technology, as well as embedded systems, and other non-IT elements. You are also highly motivated and exhibit strong written and verbal communication, inter-personal, and problem solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and effectively with external customers and subcontractors in a multi-discipline program and environment.

Position Responsibilities: In this position, you will be involved in one or more of the following activities:

  • Perform collaborative design & development with other engineers and suppliers
  • Coordinate with design and software engineers to ensure cyber certification activities are defined and executed to support program requirements
  • Provide support for cyber certification plans, deliverables, and project closure across multi-discipline engineering teams to ensure performance to plan
  • Perform cyber risk assessments and developing risk mitigation plans
  • Perform analysis of systems and components for risks, vulnerabilities, and threats
  • Contribute to team developing innovative software capabilities to secure Boeing products using DevSecOps pipelines and automation
  • Contribute to team of engineers developing algorithms, interfaces and designs for cyber-secure and resilient software systems
  • Participate on a team performing incident response and mitigation This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
    • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
    • 1 or more years expereince assessing system design and architecture, identifying cyber risks, and integration mitigation controls into the system design to reduce risk
    • 1 or more years expereince or classwork developing and debugging software in Java, python or C / C
    • 1 or more years expereince factoring and applying confidentiality, integrity ability considerations across product development lifecycle Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
      • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent.
      • Exposure to IOT or embedded product and cybersecurity systems analysis, design, development, and testing
      • Knowledge of and familiarization with cybersecurity principles, standards and practices
      • Experience with integration and Unit Testing
      • Experience in agile software development methodologies and containerized software
      • Knowledge of and familiarization with DevSecOps principles and practices Typical Education/Experience:

        Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification.

        Relocation :

        This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

        Summary pay range for associate level: $98,600 - $133,400

To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
