are sold in more than 100 countries. External US Summary:FUJIFILM
Sonosite is seeking a motivated, resourceful, and ambitious student
intern to assist in Cybersecurity Engineering duties within
Ultrasound Systems and Medical Informatics. The position will
introduce the student to a variety of new cybersecurity engineering
practices and procedures such as threat modeling, cybersecurity
risk assessments, vulnerability scans, risk control requirement
traceability, and common vulnerabilities & exposures management.
The student will be training directly under the primary Senior
Cybersecurity Engineer for specified products in development. These
products include software, hardware, and web-based
applications.Essential Job Functions:
- Standard industry security controls and their application to
customer-facing products
- Exposure to risk management processes, identifying and
assessing vulnerabilities
- Exposure to requirements management tools and risk control
traceability to our products
- Exposure to the process of releasing patches and updates to
Sonosite products
- Exposure to new FDA submission guidance for cybersecurity
- Vulnerability testing and reporting of our products
- Security lab support for product setup and scan execution
- Technical documentation creation and process
- Working in a regulated environmentKnowledge/Experience:
- Preferred, but not required: Pursuing Bachelor's in Computer
Science, Cybersecurity and/or Information Security, Information
Systems, or related fieldSkills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration
skills
- Open to direction and following procedures
- Resourceful in finding answers with minimal direction
- Committed to continually learning and growing their knowledge
in Cybersecurity and Information Security.
