in their career. As a Human Factors Engineering Intern, you will be
responsible for:
- Planning, coordinating, and participating in usability
evaluation of product user interface.
- Facilitating usability testing and planning; coordinating the
recruitment of participants.
- Contributing to the data collection, data analysis, and data
reporting of usability studies.This position may suit you best if
you are familiar with what is below, and would like to develop your
career with Healthineers:Learn basic ultrasound technology and
clinical workflow, apply fundamentals of UI Design and usability to
design of Ultrasound systems, evaluate the user experience of
current products and identify improvement areas; learn, understand
and apply IEC62366 to current and new ultrasound products,
participate in defining a new user experience/visual metaphor for
ultrasound workflow, contribute to the continual development of
user interface design requirements, create holistic design
solutions that address business, brand, and user requirements,
collaborate with cross-functional teams to present cohesive
interaction, design, and user experience approaches to a non-design
audienceRequired skills to have for the success of this role You
must possess the below minimum qualifications to be considered for
this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a
combination of your schoolwork/ classes/ research and/or relevant
previous job and/or internship experiences.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Human
Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Usability Engineering of a related
field (minimum rising junior preferred)
- Must have experience in analysis of data collected in field and
lab studies, experimental design and statistical analysis.MS Office
including Visio; Paint Shop Pro/Photoshop (or comparable drawing
program); knowledge of the software development cycle, prototyping
program or modelling [a plus]
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, work
well in a team environment, strong technical writing skills,
problem solving skills, attention to detail and critical thinking
