KC-46 Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Team is looking
for a Senior Sustainment Project Engineer to join the growing team
in Tukwila, WA, or Everett, WA. In this position you will lead
cross-functional teams across the engineering disciplines and
product support elements. Projects range from, but are not limited
to, fleet issue tracking and resolution, proposal project
management and execution, managing Internal Research and
Development (IRAD) projects as well as Internal Applications
Development (IAD) projects. This position requires integration
across the engineering disciplines as well as significant
integration with BCA and BDS stakeholders and our KC-46 domestic
and international customers. If you have strong project management
skills and an ability to solve open ended problems, come join us as
we lay the foundation for the KC-46 sustainment program. With the
growth of the KC-46 domestic fleet and addition of international
customers, this is an exciting opportunity to join a team early in
its lifecycle and set the course.Position Responsibilities:
- Communicate project status to various Boeing teams and
Government customers. Be able to respond quickly and
effectively
- Provides the Engineering leadership to a team representing
multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external
resources and customers
- Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and
development, ongoing and new business requirements
- Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates
proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables,
resources, costs and schedules
- Leads project execution to complete the engineering work
statement
- Identifies and reports project technical performance
metrics
- Performs Technical Integration of multiple engineering
disciplines on highly complex projects
- Plans, identifies, and coordinates engineering resources
required over the life of the project or program
- Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity
- Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project
performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned
- Provides integration leadership for the development and
execution of project or team plans
- Works under minimal directionThis position is hybrid. This
means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some
work onsite at one of the listed location options. - This is at the
hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the
future.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security
Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is
required. -Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 5+ years relevant Project Engineering experience
- Engineering experience that includes integration of technical
impacts and plans across multiple functions or Integrated Product
Teams (IPTs)Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired
Skills/Experience): -
- Knowledge of the KC-46 platform
- Knowledge of Product Support Elements
- Experience integrating across engineering functionsTypical
Education & Experience: -Education/experience typically acquired
through advanced technical education from an accredited course of
study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or
chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related
work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education
and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7
years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is
the preferred, although not required, accreditation
