you will participate in all aspects of development, implementation,
and deployment of FPGA solutions within Engine Avionics team. You
will be embedded within the engine controller development team. Our
team is tightly knit and very collaborative, with a variety of
experience and backgrounds. We care about the success of our peers
and are eager to help each other learn and grow. Together we will
build high-reliability, safety-critical avionics solutions for our
BE-7 Rocket Engine.We are looking for someone to apply their
technical expertise and commitment to quality to positively impact
safe spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement FPGA solutions including:
- RTL implementation
- Constraints generation (timing, physical, etc.)
- Bitstream generation
- Support hardware lab bring-up and integration.
- Develop FPGA requirements specifications.
- Support activities such as simulation, analysis, and on-target
testing.
- Participate in peer reviews. Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or
related technical field.
- 5+ years of electrical design experience.
- FPGA development experience.
- Familiarity with DO-254 complex silicon development
methodology.
- Exposure to fault-tolerant, high-reliability, safety-critical,
robust, radiation-tolerant FPGA-based solution development for
space-based avionics systems.
- Experience implementing motor control algorithms.
- SystemVerilog/Verilog/VHDL familiarity.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, strong interpersonal team
skills; organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional
relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident
(current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as
a refugee or granted asylum. Desired:
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power
supplies, and development kits.
- Knowledge of design assurance level (DAL) implementations.
- Experience implementing instrumentation measurement
