We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician in our Puyallup, WA facility. We are looking for a Trailer Mechanic for our M-F Dayshift opening, 6:00am-4:30pm, overtime as required to support production operations. Our Trailer Mechanic will assist with other Maintenance responsibilities as required throughout the facility.

Paid Vacation

• 40 hours per year (monthly accrual). Accrual period starts January 1. The Paid Vacation balance will be prorated for the year depending on the start date. Paid Holidays
  • Seven paid holidays per year. Ideal Candidate Profile
    • At least two years of training or experience in trailer/mechanical repair within a manufacturing environment (highly preferred).
    • Maintenance manufacturing experience, fabrication/welding experience (highly preferred).
    • Trailer Mechanic experience (Required).
    • Candidate must provide their own tools (Required).
    • Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds and stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.
    • Willingness to work in environments with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.
    • Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
    • Flexibility to manage changing priorities and task lists.
    • Self-starter attitude with a focus on quality and efficiency.
    • Strong commitment to safety policies and procedures to minimize risks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
      
      May be responsible for performing a combination of the following duties based upon job assignment:
      • Servicing trailers.
      • Knowledge of DOT inspections, repair, and general preventative maintenance (preferred; certified training is offered once hired)
      • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
      • Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
      • Experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic.
      • Repair and adjust conveyor systems: Install belts in machinery, tighten, adjust, straighten, align, and replace parts.
      • Must be familiar with LOTO.
      • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.
      • Work safely and cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors.
      • Must be self-motivated to complete assignments.
      • Subject to working near moving parts of heavy machinery and high voltage equipment where the use of appropriate protective/safety equipment is required.
      • Requires climbing, standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects in awkward and confined spaces using proper lifting and rigging techniques.
      • Work includes indoor and outdoor environment.
      • Other job duties as assigned.
