Contractor Work Model: Onsite Position Overview:
We are seeking a capable and motivated early-career Mechanical
Analysis and Methods Engineer to support the development and
validation of mechanical analysis methods. This role offers a broad
scope of responsibilities, including analysis work, uncertainty
quantification, benchmarking against test data, and supporting
validation testing with pretest predictions. The ideal candidate
will have a solid foundation in engineering analysis principles,
particularly in solid mechanics and finite element methods.
Responsibilities
Analyze reactor core and core assembly behavior using finite
element methods, documenting results in comprehensive calculation
reports.
Conduct analysis for benchmarking test data and validating analysis
methods to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Support methods development work through uncertainty
quantification, enhancing the robustness of our analytical
approaches.
Contribute to software quality assurance for both in-house and
commercially developed software, ensuring high standards of
performance and reliability.
Key Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent field.
0-3 years of professional mechanical analysis experience, utilizing
hand calculations and finite element methods.
Strong understanding of solid mechanics and finite element
methods.
Proficient coding skills, with a preference for object-oriented
programming in Python.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex
information clearly and effectively.
A high degree of trust and integrity, with a commitment to open
communication and respect for team dynamics.
