Job Description:
Sr. Vibration Analysis -Mechanical (Remote) Pay is $75 an hour
The Senior Vibration Analysis Engineer is a dedicated position
focused on analyzing the mechanical performance of reactor
components under various loading conditions and sources of
vibration such as acoustic induced, mechanical induced, and flow
induced. The position holder will report to the Mechanical
Engineering Analysis Manager and will collaborate with talented
engineers that are focused on developing the design of next
generation advanced nuclear reactors. Responsibilities Perform
vibration analyses of reactor components using both classical tool
such as Mathcad, and finite element analysis (FEA) software such as
ANSYS Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform static and
dynamic analysis using both linear and non-linear approach with FEA
software. Work with interdisciplinary teams to establish and
optimize nuclear components design consistent with required
functional and safety requirements. Establish and maintain
documents of analysis results and design solutions. Perform peer
review to maintain the expected quality standard as per the
engineering quality assurance plan. Assist the Team Manager and
Senior Manager when necessary. Mentor the engineers and team
members as necessary to build a skilled and confident team. Work as

years with Ph.D. degree. Proficient in FEA for Seismic, Acoustic,
Vibration, and Mechanical Structures. Highly skilled on commercial
mechanical analysis/modeling tools with emphasis on ANSYS and
SolidWorks. Strong understanding of failure mechanisms, fracture
mechanics, and fatigue failure. Hands-on experience in seismic
analysis of equipment or components; in particular, experience with
response spectrum and time history modeling techniques in
accordance with the requirements of ASCE 4, and/or ASCE 43 is
highly desirable. Working experience with pressure equipment design
codes and standards such as ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code
Section III, Div. 1 and 5, Section VIII Div. 2, Process Piping
analysis code B31.1 and B31.3 is highly desirable. Experienced with
conceptual design and sizing for equipment and structural
components through basic calculation and utilizing Mathcad. Strong
communication skills and collaborative teamwork is highly desired.
