Job Description Job Description Lathe Machinist Pay: $22-35/Hour Shift: Day and Night Location: Tukwilla Job Description We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our team in an aerospace machine workshop. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient operation of machinery, maintain safety and housekeeping standards, and contribute to process improvements. Responsibilities Notify supervisor of abnormal situations for corrective action. Make recommendations for improvements in methods of performance of work. Maintain good housekeeping conditions and enforce safety practices. Complete and maintain any required documentation. Operate multiple machines simultaneously, including Okuma Captain L370W, Impact LU15, and LB3000 with base controls. Use Siemens and Fanuc controls for lathe machine tools. Utilize manual machines such as Bridgeport, Protrak RLX, and Track DPM for manual machining tasks. Essential Skills Strong Geometric Dimensional & Tolerances, and math skills. Ability to read machining CNC programs and have a basic understanding of common 'G' and 'M' codes. Experience with Siemens controls for lathe machine tools. Understanding of basic tabletop gages – Micrometers, Calipers, and bore micrometers. Additional Skills & Qualifications Good verbal and written communication skills. Organization and time management skills. Problem-solving and analysis. Preferably a few years of on-the-job training or machine shop experience. The facility operates with a focus on safety and efficiency, using advanced technologies and equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tukwila, Washington. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
