Job Description:
The Data Center Field Engineering Team is the engineering owner
for the lifecycle of AWS data centers. This includes supporting new
designs/innovations through data center end-of-life, with a focus
on root cause analysis of failures, capacity and availability
improvement, and optimization of the existing fleet. We're looking
for an experienced Senior Product Manager - Technical to join our
Field Engineering team and lead the development of our Root Cause
Analysis product and business operations. In this role, you will
define product strategy, own the roadmap, and drive execution of a
platform that integrates multiple enterprise systems to achieve
world class uptime for our customers. You will partner closely with
multiple engineering disciplines including mechanical/electrical,
reliability and quality, software, and data engineering teams as
well as operations staff and project execution/delivery teams
regularly. You will make strategic decisions regarding product
priorities, technical architecture, and overall program direction.
You will be capable of connecting long-term product vision with
rapid growth patterns of AWS, translating Field Engineer pain
points into technical requirements, and balancing immediate and
long-term delivery needs. You must be adept at identifying and
communicating upcoming risks, issues, and bottlenecks as well as be
instrumental in resolving those issues, often cross multiple
departmental boundaries to achieve your goal. You must possess a
strong sense of organization, communication and team building
skill-sets that foster robust working relationships for both
internal and external stakeholders. Key job responsibilities •
Define and own product strategy and feature roadmap with
contributions to bi-annual planning cycles • Translate Field
Engineer needs into technical requirements, functional
specifications, and integration designs across platforms • Partner
with software development teams to evaluate technical proposals,
assess architectural risks, and ensure scalability for global
operations • Prepare narratives for executive leadership with
recommendations which articulate decision points relative to cost,
timing, and strategic trade-offs. • Learn and understand the AWS
data center lifecycle specific to Data Center Engineering,
globally. • Provide direct support to Field Engineers including
trainings on new and existing processes. • Interface with internal
Field Engineering teams and their partners to promote standards
that maintain consistency and reliability in work-products
delivered. Standardize inputs/outputs globally. • Create strong
end-to-end team processes/mechanisms that include training (buy-in)
and validation of success through metrics-based criteria. • Manage
global program ownership for processes and strategic initiatives
that encompass all engineering disciplines. A day in the life Why

- 7 years of technical product or program management experience -
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related
field - 5 years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission
critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers,
power generation or oil and gas facilities experience - Experience
bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine
requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all
committed work is delivered on time - Experience contributing to
engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy
related to a product - Experience in an operational environment
developing, fast-prototyping, piloting and launching analytic
products - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and
definition - Experience in building and driving adoption of new
tools - Experience with workflow automation tools and business

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers
