About the teamZillow is seeking a Vice President, Risk Management to play a key role in managing the evolution of the risk management function for Zillow---s as it leads the way to Real Estate 2.0. An integral part of the Central Operations team, the role will work across Zillow---s business functions, including the rapidly growing Zillow Offers, Zillow Home Loans, Zillow Closing Services, and greater ZG businesses partnering with Legal, Finance, Human Resources and other Zillow Group corporate functions to develop and execute risk management strategy and operations.About the roleWe are looking for a Vice President, Risk Management to head the continued evolution of the risk management function as Zillow leads the way to Real Estate 2.0, helping our customers to unlock life---s next chapter The role will work across Zillow---s varied business functions to ensure an enterprise risk management ecosystem and culture that actively identifies and helps manage the risks concerning our dynamic and evolving business divisions. Partnering with legal, finance, technology, human resources and leaders from across the business divisions, you will develop and execute risk management strategy and lead related policies, controls, and tools for ensuring visibility into and intelligently leading operational, financial, regulatory, cybersecurity and other risks through systematic, data-driven strategies and tactics.You willLead a cross-functional team in the develop of frameworks for and the execution of enterprise risk assessment and management programsBuild and maintain outstanding risk management and response protocols and training in partnership with related business divisions and functions.Be responsible for the development of reporting and analytics to ensure total cost of risk visibility and management and facilitate risk management program innovationsLead and coordinate the efforts of internal and external risk management and risk transfer resources, including insurers, brokers, third party administrators and loss control personnel and service providers to mitigate costs and drive operational efficiencies, including developing and ensuring performance in accordance with service level agreements and leadership of significant event preparation and response effortsEnsure cost-effective, appropriately structured risk transfer vehicles in compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations --- including credit facilities and other financial vehicles; lead efforts to explore and develop captive insurance vehicles and other means of risk mitigation and expense controlOversee claims management operations and refine protocols to mitigate claims severity and costs, and drive favorable claim resolutionRun claims programs, including incident management processes, cost-containment programs, third party administrator structure optimization, Return-to-Work programming, triage programs, claim closure programs, etc.Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery plans and protocols, preparedness programming across operational, financial and digital media business divisionsLead all aspects of risk management information system implementation and drive enterprise-wide utilizationThis role has been categorized as a Hybrid position. ---Hybrid--- employees regularly work at an existing ZG corporate office for approximately 10 to 80 percent of their time each month, and the rest of the time they may work from a remote physical location of their choice within a reasonable commuting distance from the corporate office which must be identified to the Company in advance. The Recruiter and Hiring Manager will set expectations on the employee---s preferred time in office. ZG has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute. Who you areMinimum 10 years--- experience in enterprise risk managementBackground with a residential real estate operator, builder or lender strongly preferredExperience with public companies and regulated industries strongly preferredExperience with high-deductible insurance programs, large claim portfolios across multiple jurisdictionsKnowledge and experience implementing data-driven risk enterprise management programming integrating various technology tools and systems, including risk management information systemsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels across the organization, from board members to individual contributorsAbility to work in a fast paced, constantly evolving operation---Get to know usZillow Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive, innovative environment with the best employees.
