Job DescriptionThe Brand Shops Program Manager (BSPM) is the subject matter expert for the (Designer) Brand Shops within Nordstrom Stores. This role acts as a liaison between the Nordstrom Merchant team and Brands to develop a branded shop environment within the store utilizing Nordstrom Design and Construction standards, provided by BSPM. The BSPM is directly involved in coordination with Brand and Nordstrom cross-functional teams to review and approve design, project budget, BOH locations, installation timeline and project scope.A day in the lifeSupport overall company goals by evolving current practices and implementing new methodology.Develop and maintain brand shop program trackers to reflect future initiatives and current shop-in-store conditions.Build and lead project teams, providing clear roles and responsibilities through all phases of the project lifecycle including continuous evaluation of quality and effectiveness of work.Work closely with project sponsor and cross-functional teams (Merchant and Nordstrom Design and Construction Project Managers) to plan scope of work, deliverables, budget, required resources, and timeline.Prepare and issue brand criteria packages outlining the parameters that Brands must adhere to for custom branded shop environments.Coordinate with Architectural partners to produce criteria packages, if needed, (Major Remodel/New Stores), per agreed upon terms established by the Merchant Team and Nordstrom Design and Construction.Communicate with Architectural partners to advise of any Remodel/New Store plan updates or changes, per the Designer initiative.Review and approve Brand design drawings, shop drawings, schematics, and budget.Review project estimation forms to ensure scope of work has been accurately captured.Procure vendor financial agreement forms to aid in the submission of projects for Nordstrom Financial approval.Act as support for cross-functional teams to provide clear and concise updates for project timelines and budgets.Show continual assessment, refinement, and evolution of all operational processesCommunicate effectively with support teams to alert the appropriate team members of any budgetary or scope of work changes.Youve got this ifProject Management or Program Management in a retail or design organization with experience in architectural or interior planning, construction, vendor sourcing and product development (3-5 years) or a minimum 3 years experience in related roles in store design or visual merchandising at Nordstrom.Degree or diploma in architecture, interior design, visual merchandising, or related field will be an asset.Skilled in the visual, written, and verbal communication of design issues, project planning and management. Knowledge of architectural details and specifications.Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.Ability to balance design with operational needs and budget objectives resulting in exceptional store environments.Strong Organizational skills; attention to detail and ability to multi-task.Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to focus and extract complex situations to find key insights and drive simple solutions.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with multidisciplinary cross functional internal as well as external teams.Capacity to manage a high volume of work within compressed timeframes.Relationship management and negotiation skills a must.Ability to balance business needs and project constraints with high standards in design qualityAbility to think strategically and build processes that accommodate growth and changeWeve got you coveredOur employees are our most important asset and thats reflected in our benefits.
