Job Description:

The Pension Data Manager will be a full-time role that is part of an implementation team responsible for delivering our large market Pension Outsourcing implementations. This individual will have both a strong pension and data background, as well as, broad knowledge of application functionality and how data supports calculations and administration functionality. They will lead the development and delivery of the data strategy for the application. The will consult and partner with the client, third parties, and the other implementation managers to ensure we have the proper data and data flows to support our calculation and administrative processes - including payment processing. They will also partner with the delivery teams that will be executing on configuration, development, testing and loading of data. The will own the requirements for all system data validations and lead any discussion around data quality. This individual will attend client meetings, consult with the client and the implementation team around any data situations that may have an impact on calculation automation, administrative procedures, and system functionality. The Role Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and delivery of the client specific data strategy to support our administrative responsibilities Partner with other managers to define and ensure that the data needed to support the application supports our administrative procedures is available and understood Direct and coach the delivery team that configures, develops and tests the loading of data during the implementation phase System subject matter expert with an emphasis on pension systems and data management Coordinate closely with Calculation, Administration and System implementation managers to ensure the client specific application functionality is aligned to the client specific data, admin, and calculation strategies Attend meetings to consult with the client and the implementation team on all data questions and needs Responsible to define, train, and provide support on ongoing data procedures (both imports and exports) to ensure smooth transition and execution in ongoing Develop and support data validations and assurance processes, including payment setup and general data validations within the system Responsible for managing the scope and budget for all data and trustee extract related deliverables and activities; coordinates with the Implementation Project Manager on all project management and financial management routines related to data management Coordinate with the client, 3rd parties and other implementation managers to ensure proper data flow and support of our calculation and administrative processes, including payment setup Manage system related deliverables for Events in Transition (EIT) and transition to ongoing activities Works closely with the Pension Technology BDS team to ensure the Pension Initial Client Environment (ICE) aligns to the expected fully functional initial client solution Properly follow the agreed upon communication strategies and communicate effectively with team members, team leaders, executives and, as necessary, clients and third parties Support special projects (both client projects and internal) as needed and as capacity allows The Requirements 5 years of industry experience working with data or equivalent work experience, with 2 years of implementation experience (e.g., data conversions, data import, data export, data mapping tools, data reporting, payroll, HRIS) Strong pension outsourcing background and functional knowledge of defined benefit plans, pension benefits administration processes and systems, software delivery, and/or process re-engineering Experience with pension administration projects and/or systems, including interaction of data, software, administration outputs, and processes Solid understanding of pension and broader benefit plan design Functional or industry knowledge/experience in the application of technology to solve human resource needs such as HRIS/payroll system integration, pension plan administration, health and welfare plan administration, employee self-service and pension payroll administration Ability to work on a multifaceted team (administration, technology and service center) with competing projects, deliverables and priorities, including client implementations and one-time special project work Strong interpersonal and client management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical, integrative and problem-solving skills Strong organizational abilities and flexibility to work in a performance driven environment Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, benefits administration, or related field, CEBS designation or actuarial training a plus Ability to travel and work extended hours as needed Willis Towers Watson is a federal contractor and sub-contractor subject to the mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements of Presidential Executive Order 14042.
