Job Description:

Client Development Manager- Full Time Remote The Client Services manager is a full-time role (40+ hours per week) that supports the business development of client project work for inclusion in Coding Dojo's curriculum, business partnerships and possible career services intersections. About Coding Dojo Coding Dojo is an industry-leading coding bootcamp whose flagship programs are unmatched. We're proud to offer our new part time program, UX/UI Design. This exciting course of study is structured to teach hard and soft skills through project work where students learn research, ideation, concepting, prototyping, testing and wireframing leading to handoff of final deliverables that specify both mobile and web based products. As part of this new curriculum, Coding Dojo has identified that working with clients and developing skillsets that allow students to navigate the real-world variables of client work makes them more marketable and differentiated in the jobs marketplace. Coding Dojo is supporting this initiative by hiring to this role, the Business Development/Client Services Manager, to help gather, onboard and tailor a client experience for student teams that accelerates their learning. Roles and Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities are to support specifically the UX/UI curriculum design team in developing specifications, application and sourcing channels, vetting and onboarding materials, and ongoing client maintenance throughout the UX/UI Design program. The role may evolve into sourcing for other disciplines such as Software Development, Data Science, Cybersecurity and other evolving coursework that is in development at Coding Dojo. Understanding the needs and requirements of the UX/UI discipline first, and then being able to interpolate those into opportunities in other disciplines will be part of the growth of the position. Some areas of focus will be: * Gathering requirements: Developing client work for UX/UI and other programs requires knowledge of student outcomes and learning goals. As the Business Development/Client Services Manager, you'll be tasked with educating yourself on the needs and wants of instructors and students, and helping give input into the structure that will best support a healthy, well-managed client project and client interactions. Additionally, you'll be tasked with matching the business needs with the coursework, and helping broker the interactions that support both the client and Coding Dojo. * Developing Process: Good documentation and clear expectations should be developed so that the variables in the client/instructor/student relationships can be standardized, leading to a successful outcome for all parties. Your use of planning tools, scheduling software and clear communication between parties is essential. Additionally, being able to help support the IP and legal issues associated with creative work and ownership will be part of the role. * Client Acquisition, Retention and Management: The ability to cast a wide net through industry contacts and sources, as well as develop fruitful channels to develop new client relationships will be part of the role. Being able to clearly communicate the benefits of working with Coding Dojo, while being able to scope their needs to the resources that Coding Dojo's students offer will be the balance the role will need to consider. Making sure to manage the client relationship potentially across multiple engagements, surveying their satisfaction and iterating for improvement, and addressing issues that may come up in student experience will also be key areas of the role. * Iterating Process and Identifying Future Opportunities The role will initially focus on the UX/UI program, but as stated above, there may be other disciplines that would want to leverage the power of client projects. The role will be to create a working system with robust documentation (with the help of Coding Dojo staff) that can scale to other disciplines. Identifying client needs and detailed records of opportunities will be essential, as will identifying appropriate timeframes to intersect with Curriculum to help adopt client projects. Qualifications: * Background in client management, interaction and business development * Knowledge of tech development; UX/UI, Software Development, Data Science, Cybersecurity and any other related disciplines * -1-3 years experience in a client facing role, specifically managing projects, needs and expectations * Ability to develop client relationships, or have an existing pool of business contacts - preferably in the tech space * Proven ability to develop business process and utilize planning, scheduling and communication tools * Experience in an educational environment - traditional or edtech - a plus * Ability to speak multiple languages a plus Core Competencies: * Passion and empathy: In helping clients connect with students and instructors, and helping build relationships that benefit every party * Leadership: Demonstrates leadership through developing best case models and demonstrating wider benefits to multiple stakeholders * Enthusiasm: Exhibits a bias to action, demonstrates grit and a growth mindsetCalm under pressure: Is a moderating and stable influence when under pressure or stress, and helps see opportunity in challenges * Growth Mindset: Demonstrates ability and will to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information. * Communication: Can communicate to many different users, listen to needs and wants and arrive at the best solution.
