Come join us on our mission to help people use data to serve the customer! The Role We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Payable and Procurement Manager to join our growing finance team. This person will be responsible for the design, implementation & operalization of our procure-to-pay processes as well as the daily operations of the AP department. The Accounts Payable and Procurement Manager will be responsible for not only creating an accurate and efficient department but also creating a great experience for our employees when they need to navigate the procure-to-pay process. In addition, building a team, providing managerial reporting and running the expense reimbursement process will be integral parts of this role. The ideal person thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous, demanding environments and is excited to build a scalable, durable team that will grow as the company grows. Responsibilities Manage and oversee the daily operations of the AP department. Lead the design, implementation & operationalization of procure-to-pay processes including procurement, accounts payable, and travel and expense management. Responsible for ensuring that all internal process controls for the procure-to-pay process are adequately designed, that all controls are being performed and that evidence of the control being performed exists for audit purposes. Maintain and update as the business evolves, a business intelligence framework to support both financial and managerial reporting requirements for the procure-to-pay process. Define and maintain all company policies, procedures and standards for procure-to-pay process including Purchasing, Vendor onboarding, Travel and Expense Management, and Payments. Take appropriate action to ensure policies & procedures are effectively communicated across the company. Administration of Company purchasing cards, including temporary electronic cards. Manage the corporate credit card expense submission and payment between multiple systems. Execute month end AP related journal entries and reconciliations. Manage year-end annual 1099 reporting process to ensure timely and accurate completion. Manage and develop internal and external team members to meet key metrics such as on-time and accurate invoice processing and to plan and execute improvement projects. Work with the Finance team to plan and execute cash management needs. Effectively communicate with our employees and be viewed as a go to person in finance. Work collaboratively with Security, FP&A, and legal on the procurement process. Work closely with the auditors. Hire, train and develop a highly functioning team of AP professionals. About You 5+ years experience in procurement and/or accounts payables Experience being responsible for running a complete Procure-To-Pay workflow, some experience of ERP implementation and / or ERP enhancements, and process improvements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP Accounting) Proven background in financial control Thorough understanding of Procure-To-Pay operational concepts Experience working in fast paced, dynamic environments Excellent communication skills with ability to develop the "story" and form recommendations Superb attention to detail balanced by ability to focus on the "big picture" Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets and Word / Google Docs related skills Excited to build an exceptional Accounts Payable and Procurement team Exceptional Candidates May Also Have Leadership/management experience leading a highly efficient team Experience with NetSuite Experience with TeamPay Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) Benefits We offer all the benefits you'd expect from a "great place to work": 100% employee healthcare coverage, expertise in distributed working environments, flexible hours, and very intentional career development.
