  • Bird's eye view of your role - The AVP, API & Integration role is a high-visibility, high-impact position responsible for strategy and execution. Product managers at Tamarac are Agile Product Owners/Managers responsible for defining product priorities with key stakeholders and relentlessly driving the product lifecycle from concept to delivery. We are looking for candidates who deeply understand and anticipate our client's needs and are always looking for innovative ways to solve industry problems.   • This role is specifically focused on advancing our external API platform on Google's Apigee API Management platform. Tamarac is early-stage in deploying external APIs, and looking for an experienced contributor to lead the API strategy including API onboarding process definition, API contract structure, endpoint naming convention, API lifecycle and versioning, and build required additional endpoints that support internal initiatives, other business units, and third-party partners aligned with Envestnet overall strategy. In this role, the person will also be a valuable member of the API Center of Excellence.
  • What you will bring - You are a team player who works with minimal supervision, work cross-functionality and closely with engineering, design, business stakeholders, and technical writing to bring new products to the financial marketplace. You lead by example, and are able to articulate product benefits to clients and internal teams, and, deliver on those benefits. Responsibilities:
    • Act as mini-CEO of your Product domain - articulate the vision, competitive marketplace, customer needs, business needs, profit and loss, roadmap, and delivery plan.
    • Collaborate and Communicate - work cross-functionally with leadership, sales, customer support, engineering, and more to ensure buy-in and alignment with the strategy.
    • Document - write and maintain body of work outlining the strategy, themes, specifications, voice of the customer, competitive analysis, SWOT, target state, roadmap, ROI, etc.
    • Product evangelist and cheerleader - Be positive, present, and engaged. Keep all teams fed appropriately - aware of the long-term and filled up with work for the short term.
    • Goals & metrics - establish data-driven goals to both identify opportunities and track feature success
    • Feature design - work closely with clients and prospects to gather feedback during initial design to ensure product success
    • Delivery the product lifecycle - drive the success and product life cycle from concept to delivery of features in support of the roadmap and success metrics.
    • Product launch - establish a go-to-market strategy and collaborate with our product marketing and sales teams to successfully launch new features while effectively communicating product benefits to the market to drive adoption
    • People and process improvement - lead and inspire teams. Build our Agile practice and implement better processes to support critical business functions.
    • 5+ years of software product management experience
    • 3+ years working in an API management arena
    • Bachelors in business or computer science
    • Experience working within agile software development life cycle
    • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent people and management skills to interact with clients, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
    • Willingness to travel 25%
    • Detailed oriented
    • Entrepreneurial-minded Preferred Requirements:
      • 2+ years of experience in a financial technology role
