This dynamic individual leads the Business Development and
Marketing (BDM) function of Lydig Construction, Inc. for the
Western Region Group (WRG). This leader is responsible for
utilizing assets and resources to create new and profitable
business ventures within Lydig's WRG. Is responsible for increasing
Lydig's presence within existing markets and strategizing on how to
expose Lydig to new clients and markets where the clients can
select their contractor and/or design/builder. Performs all other
duties as assigned.
Corresponds with existing and potential clients, developers,
architects, engineers, and other key business partners to develop
and nurture long term relationships with the goal of securing new

Leads and participates in internal processes to secure new work
from project identification, qualification, interview, and price
components of work pursuit.
Serves as a company representative promoting Lydig's active role in

Identify weaknesses in Lydig's current BDM program and strategize
avenues to shore up and improve upon those items.
Oversee the execution of the WRG Business Development & Marketing
yearly goals and tracking of Key Performance Indicators and metrics
developed with the President.
Leadership and Coaching
Leads the BDM staff to leverage assets and relationships with
intentionality and strategy for project pursuits, potential targets
and market trends.
Meets and coordinates with project managers, marketing manager,
management team members and other resources as needed to mine
prospects and ensure future workload is secured.
Develops a positive relationship with other staff to learn about
and expand upon their business relationships.
Mentor and coach internal staff through strategy, project research
and relationship development.
Develops relationships with other managers and staff to learn of
ways to differentiate Lydig Construction from others in the
Continually keeps principals and management informed of significant
issues related to areas of responsibility.
Develops yearly Marketing Plans and Strategic goals to further
Lydig's Mission and Vision. Administers and assists with plan
implementation and strategy.
Reports weekly to WRG President.
Education / Experience
Bachelor's Degree is required, advanced degree in related field
preferred. An ideal candidate is a tenacious individual with a
construction related background. . Exceptional experience within
the industry may substitute for education.
A minimum of 15 years of commercial construction, business
development or related job experience is required. Experience in
Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Design or Construction
Management is preferred.
Thorough understanding of Puget Sound region commercial
Understanding of construction process from planning to completion
as well as common delivery methods and how to leverage them is
Ability to organize relationships to develop a winning
Relevant and healthy relationships with potential clients in our
market region will be viewed positively.
Capable of mentoring and developing internal employees to be
successful in business development, interview pursuit
