This includes directing and/or providing guidance for team members during analysis, trouble shooting, data collection, and root cause analysis, so that the team can identify analytics solutions for ICHS staff.Advises team, as needed, during key projects and critical analysis to ensure data validation and data interpretation has been vetted before being released to stakeholders.Ensures the team has developed documented processes to provide reporting solutions to clinical/financial staff.Oversees and informs the development and maintenance of the organization's internal and external databases and/or healthcare intelligence system designs to fulfill reporting requirements and to promote clinical and operational excellence.Encourages team to identify best practices and implement opportunities for standardization.Performance Management/EvaluationIn partnership with relevant departments/teams, supports and informs performance management through the organizational and departmental scorecards with the collaborative development of performance measures, data design, monitoring, and the coordination of reporting. When necessary, facilitates and coordinates in the problem identification and intervention process, including quality improvement, data collection, validation, and reporting.Informs and/or supports performance and financial evaluations of identified programs on a scheduled basis.Staff ManagementLeads, directs, manages and empowers Data & Analytics staff including: hiring, providing guidance and direction, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions. This includes developing the Data & Analytics staff into a cohesive team capable of timely service and product delivery by providing leadership, professional development, and cross-training.Supports the team as they attain/maintain necessary certifications, as applicable, in a timely manner according to policy.Maintains technical expertise in relevant competencies covered by the Data & Analytics team; interprets, complies with and administers all applicable laws and regulations, as appropriate. Updates and maintains systems and procedures to carry out the work of the team to ensure best and promising practices are adhered to.Develops and tracks the Data & Analytics budgets.Other Strategic Initiatives FunctionsOversees and/or informs the development and implementation of data collection, validation, and utilization policies and procedures for the organization, based on best practices.Represents ICHS officially in public and private arenas through task forces, committees, workgroups, testimonies, and other relevant venues, as appropriate and assigned.Manages multiple projects and teams as assigned, ensuring critical project issues and activities are addressed effectively, and collecting resource and budget information for program cost implementation and appropriate evaluations.Facilitates and informs in the review of established procedures, systems and standards in partnership with ICHS managers and directors as needed, and make recommendations on quality improvement, data collection reporting and verification.Interacts with ICHS Board of Directors, as assigned.Education - Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field of study preferred.Experience - Required: Minimum of five years of experience working in healthcare and Electronic Health Record (EHR) environment, managing teams responsible for reporting, analytics and integration tools.Preferred: 2 years of managing Epic Clarity experience with a working knowledge of Epic EHR and its reporting tools, especially EpicCare Ambulatory applications: Reporting Work Bench (RWB), Radar Dashboards, SlicerDicer, CC Info view (SAP BOE), Webi. Ability to design, build and navigate Data Visualization tools is desirable. Professional experience in a multicultural environment preferred.Other Requirement(s) - Role requires conceptual understanding of how SQL queries are used by data developers, as well as joining tables and ETL (Extraction, Transform and Loading) tasks. Responsible for providing guidance and overview in the building of reports by using SQL query and for publishing those reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and other key tools found in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).Manager will have broad understanding of how these Epic core skills will be used by data Developers and Analysts to provide solutions using:Epic Cogito data modelEpic Caboodle data modelEpic Clarity data modelEpic Clinical or Financial data model
