Staff Product Manager - Mortgage

The Transaction Management organization's mission is to build and
operate an end-to-end platform to enable the most accurate,
efficient, and seamless real estate transactions and payment flow
in the industry. We are looking for a staff product manager to own
the mortgage product strategy, execution and delivery within the
Transaction Management product team. This is a highly
cross-functional role that will require collaboration with many
other internal and external product and engineering teams.
Mortgage industry has entered a period of digital transformation.
Compass mortgage product is still at a formative stage and you'll
be able to define the north star, create the long-term strategy,
develop the near-term product plan, and launch the product with
high customer and business impacts. You should be excited about
building a 0 to 1 business, working in a fast-paced environment and
solving complex problems with a customer-centric mindset.
At Compass You Will
Understand the industry structure, competitive landscape and
general industry trends which will shape the present and future of
Synthesize research insight with clear understanding of customer
task completion framework and major customer pain points across the
end to end customer journey.
Develop multi-year product strategy and near-term product plan to
address the critical customer pain points with strong cross team
Partner with engineering on platform system design and collaborate
closely with the team to develop, plan and iterate on the build
Drive the feature development process, document feature
requirements, create user stories and define acceptance
Partner closely on go-to-market and implementation, working with
product marketing and operations to ensure successful product
Establish key performance indicator measurements, monitor product
performance and take corrective actions for continuous product
What We Look For
8+ years of product management experience. Digital mortgage
experience is a plus.
Ability to manage competing priorities, make tradeoffs and evaluate
opportunistic new ideas with stakeholders
Ability to effectively collect, rationalize and prioritize user
requirements from disparate sources to maximize the customer and
business impact and product development ROI.
Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, high-growth and
rapidly changing environment. Strong collaboration skills with
research, UX design and engineering teams.
Strong consensus and relationship-building skills, with experience
marshaling resources across different functions of an
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence
other teams, create clarity, and drive focus on complex
