We are a second-chance employer.POSITION OVERVIEW As a Program Manager you will lead a team who are supporting clients become successful in their journey to become responsible and capable members of the workforce. You must have a willingness to roll up your sleeves and work alongside your team and encourage a focus on building mutual and reciprocal relationships with your clients. We believe in our core that emotional, social, spiritual, physical wellbeing, and recovery are possible. RESPONSIBILITIES In the first month you will:

  • Complete initial 1:1s with team members: learn about their role, responsibilities, and understand how their work and impact fits into the broader Weld Works ecosystem
  • Learn how to effectively present weekly orientation.
  • Conduct initial meetings with key stakeholders to understand their needs, their teams, how they work with the operations team, and other areas
  • Learn the process of peer mentorship the Weld Way. This will include creating goal plans, follow ups, and meetings with individual or groups of clients.
  • Learn how to support your team in mentoring a client and their reentry from referrals received from Weld staff members.
  • Learn the current process for scheduling and managing our program with an eye to suggestions for improvements to create the optimal process and outcomes.
  • Learn the current reporting metrics process
    • Assist and support the team with the daily scheduling
    • Distribute tools, time sheets, and transportation for program participants
    • Assist with the daily follow-ups with clients and customers
      • Respond to time sensitive inquiries, texts, calls, emails within an appropriate timeframeAfter one month you will:
        • Complete or oversee the physical and digital collection of data including the number of people that make it to work each day, the number of daily labor requests, tracking the companies that are requesting labor, and the managing/reviewing of assessments (Skills and JRA assessments).
        • Conduct or manage weekly Orientation
        • Interact with volunteer instructors and speakers
        • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff.
        • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
        • Provide constructive and timely performance feedback.
        • Complete some scheduling of interviews, email resumes/skills assessment to employers
        • Work with other staff to ensure that clients are paid correctly and on-timeWithin three months:
          • Implement existing and new mentorship programs.
          • Effectively communicate with your supervisor on client status and how to troubleshoot challenges.
          • Assist with creating appropriate letters to courts, DSHS, L&I and leasing agents etc.
          • Determine appropriate contact with probation officers, CCOs, case managers, lawyers, etc.
          • Develop customer (our community business partners) relationships and maintain on-site and off-site communications and be part of a team hosting Customer Events
            • Conduct check-ins with existing customersAfter you are be able to do everything you have learned so far and also:
              • Assist with Job Fairs and provide input for improvements to improve their effectiveness.
              • Attend Employer Interview events as the employer.
              • Engage in Social Enterprise events and/or introductions of Weld Works
              • Work on other projects and jobs we need doing with a special focus on improving outcomes for the Weld Works program.In the future you will have a chance to learn:
                • Opportunities to work on special projects in other areas to learn new skills.MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS for this role:
                  • Lived experience of previous incarceration
                  • Experience with Peer Support and employment services
                  • You are a vault with confidential information.
                  • You are good at asking for help and letting people know when things are not going as planned.
                    • You are able to package, promote, and manage a program.
                    • You have effectively lead a cross-functional team before.
                    • You are a pro at project management and event planning.
                    • Have a valid state driver's license
                    • Have intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
                      • Be able to lift 50 lbs. many times a day, move freely, and able to stand on your feet for many hours a day
                      • Be vaccinated against Covid-19 and other required vaccines or be willing to do so prior to hire.Bonus points for:
                        • Experience in staffing in a nonprofit environment.
                        • CPR Certified.

                                • You're a team player who knows when to support and when to take the lead, you work together to accomplish team goals and objectives LOCATION
