Job Description About SEIU 775 SEIU 775---s mission is to unite

represent more than 45,000 long-term care workers providing quality
in-home care, nursing home care, and adult day health services in
Washington State and Montana. Position Summary We are seeking a
talented and creative team member to join SEIU 775 Leaders in
Action Homecare Field Team. The field manager is a management
position in the field department working alongside the other
leadership positions within the department. The field manager is
responsible for developing and maintaining member leadership,
executing major union wide events, and developing and executing
campaigns geared toward achieving the goals of our union. We are a
dynamic and fast-paced organization, unafraid to try new ways of
doing things. The field manager leads a team of organizers and
member volunteers to carry out the work of the union. The position
will work closely with our allies, community partners and other
innovative, bold, and progressive team members to help lead the way
into growing our union. Essential Job Functions : Supervise and
manage a highly skilled team of 10 organizers and 2 team
coordinators, responsible for staff development and training
working alongside with other members of field leadership team. Lead
the Union---s work on issues and strategic campaigns, including
coordinating member and staff leadership development, establish and
implement campaign goals, coordinating and collaborating with other
teams and departments for the success of campaigns. Develop and
implement standardized curriculum for leadership trainings, staff
trainings, and member trainings that support field organizers on
variety of issues including political campaigns, race and social
justice campaigns, union solidarity and leadership development
Planning and overseeing the legislative session and elections field
programs with emphasis on establishing goals and tactics for member
involvement and leadership development. Lead high level campaign
plans, projects, and execute multiple complex fields plans
simultaneously, providing vision direction, and overall project
management. Responsible for major event planning and leads member
recruitment for statewide and turf events including lobby days,
annual member leadership conference, member meetings, and other
union functions. Lead the Union---s statewide member new employee
union time program which includes coordinating with training
partners and employers, overseeing training and development of
member recruiters, and manage reports on team metrics Long term
strategic planning for the LiA team and as well as larger union
wide programs while also bringing creative and innovative ideas to
best serve the needs of field programs. Ensuring that each program
achieves goals while functioning to develop the leadership of union
members, leaders, and staff organizers. Responsible for the hiring
and management of a diverse staff with special attention to
coaching and developing leadership skills and qualities, creating a
culturally competent workplace that represents the diversity of the
organization. Other duties as assigned. Skills & Abilities :
Excellent writing and communication skills Basic computer literacy
and willingness and ability to learn the organization---s
technology tools Ability to plan and create long-term strategies
and understanding of field campaigns Strong critical thinking
skills and strong personal planning, motivation, and ability to
work well and work creatively under tight deadlines Ability to work
well in a team environment and independently and capacity to work
with people from other cultures and backgrounds Minimum
Qualifications : Previous experience in campaign planning with at
least 3 years of union, political, or community organizing
background on internal and/or external campaigns Previous
experience leading and supervising teams with diverse individuals
and wide range of skill sets Proven commitment to progressive
social change, building anti-racist movements and a high level of
dedication or commitment to working with long term care workers
and/or low wage workers High level of leadership, judgement, and
ability to manage multiple campaigns, programs, and projects
Running leadership development programs with attention to teaching
and curriculum development Willingness to work long and irregular
hours when needed to campaign needs A valid driver---s license,
car, and automobile insurance Preferences: Fluency in a second
language is plus. Experience working with a labor union,
progressive non-profit, community organization, advocacy group,
political campaign or elected official is a plus. Knowledge and
experience with Salesforce, Microsoft office and teams is a plus.
