Job Description:
LA+, a federally recognized nonprofit with a Washington state
presence for the past 59 years needs an additional Estate and Trust
Manager. Key duties include managing special needs trusts,
disbursements for client's needs, and preparing accountings and tax
documents for a tax preparer, as well as working with government
agencies and a variety of vendors. We offer excellent benefits, are

looking for someone with a heart for people with sometimes
significant challenges, who is tech-savvy, well organized with
paper and non-paper aspects of the job, a team player with
integrity and a respectful nature. We are growing and need help.
Salary DOE.Job Duties:
- Ability to learn and adapt to agency procedures and
policies
- Maintain complete confidentiality of client information
- Identify and manage resources
- Maintain appropriate investment objectives
- Safeguard client assets, entitlements, and income
- Ensure timely submission of court reports to attorney
- Track and review all court reports and other legal
documents
- Regularly review assets and entitlements; authorize corrections
or updates of holdings
- Inform Supervisor of any matters that may require legal
intervention
- Prepare and update budgets regularly
- Authorize disbursements
- Respond to client and/or trustor inquiries
- Assure that beneficiary and/or client's investment objective is
current and budget standards are met
- Present recommendations regarding discretionary disbursements
when requiring additional authorization(s)
- Prepare investment review for each client annually, or as
needed

Skills, Team Player, Tech Savvy, Well-Organized, Experience in
Protecting Sensitive Client InformationThis position will require
proficiency in Microsoft programs; specifically, Outlook, Word and
Excel. The Trust and Estate Manager will need to be able to write
case notes, Court and other reports, memos, and other business
documents with ease. Trust and Estate Manager will also need to
demonstrate personal skills such as excellent listening skills,
patience, empathy and friendliness and confidence when dealing with
clients. Some travel may be required. Special perks: we are walking
distance from the Alderwood mall and our office is casual
dress.
