Job Description:
Our Garden Segment is searching for an eCommerce - Business
Development Manager for the Amazon.com account. This position will
drive the Company's growth in online sales through aggressive
go-to-market strategies, account management and effective marketing
and promotional program development. The Business Development
Manager will play a key role in helping the organization achieve
our goals and objectives on a high-growth, high-visibility sales
team. - MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Create key customer/channel business plans and achieve sales
account goals. Update account plans as necessary
- Support communication and execution of brand go-to-market
strategies and tactics
- Regularly evaluate catalog to ensure that all products are
listed, and that content is current
- Analyze weekly sales numbers, POS numbers, risks; develop
actionable plans for the account to increase sales
- Create and maintain up-to-date written business plan
- Conduct post event analysis of promotions and determine
ROI
- Work with marketing on all promotional plans and routinely
update the business on progress/success
- Follow-up with vendor managers to ensure product is moving and
develop plans to stimulate growth when needed IDEAL CANDIDATE
ATTRIBUTES
- 5+ years of experience in e-Commerce consumer products sales
with prior experience supporting Amazon.com
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related
business discipline
- Experience working with Amazon Marketing Services (AMS)
- Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and
operational levels
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally & transversely across
the organization
- Deep understanding of "How to Win" in the Amazon.com
environment
- Demonstrated strategic and innovative thinking about improving
business in a very complex and competitive marketplace
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced, rapidly
changing environment
- Knowledge of eCommerce product flow and web store performance
optimization
- Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent
interpersonal skills with customers and partners
- Solid analytical skills to effectively analyze results, develop
strategies, and problem solve
- Proficient in account level eCommerce tools (Google Analytics,
Retail Link, AMS, etc.)
- Strong listening and negotiation skills
- Commitment to deadlines, accuracy and professionalism
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel 10%-15% of the time
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe
