At Cocoon House we empower young people, families, and communities
in Snohomish County to break the cycle of homelessness through
outreach, housing, and prevention. Youth Emergency Shelter Program
Manager oversees the Cocoon House East Emergency Shelter, a program
that provides emergency shelter to teens and young people. You will
get the opportunity to support and supervise staff, oversee the
intakes and exits of youth, help ensure case plans are supportive
and youth focus, help make sure data is collected and input on time
and make sure the program is following licensing and contract
requirements. This work is done through both a values and equity
lens. Youth Emergency Shelter Program Manager....Meet youths' basic

familiarity with local services and how to access themAccept a
variety of lifestyles, behaviors, and cultural and spiritual
practicesAssess emergency and dangerous situations, gather
pertinent information, and provide proper support or emergency
servicesFollow mandating reporting and licensing policies and
proceduresDe-escalate youth in crises and utilize anti-racist,
inclusive, equity-based, and trauma-informed care in all of their
workWhat does the job look like?Days Full-time: 40 hrs/weekOversee
initial assessment of all youth and development of individual case
plans for each youth.Developing staff members to set professional
goals, follow up on performance issues and provide 1:1 mentoring
and guidance. Provide coverage in a phone rotation for a 24/7
crisis response line for youth in need of SafePlaceMaintain all
necessary logs and paperwork regarding client and licensing files.
Ensure compliance with all data entry requirements. Build and
maintain community relationships by attending community meetings,
responding to calls, and proactively addressing concerns.
Coordinate with Director of Youth Housing and community partners to
facilitate 24/7 entry/exit of residents for Safe Place, BCP and
HOPE bed placement. Oversee services provided to youth in
state-funded beds and ensure compliance with all contract
requirements. Ensure facility complies with licensing and grant
standards. Screen, interview, hire, train and supervise staff.
Creating enrichment activities for all youth and empowering staff
to lead engagement with youth in care.Oversee day-to-day
operations, facility needs, and shift coverage to ensure compliance

Requirements:
General:Must be 21 years of age or olderBachelor's Degree preferred
plus 2 years' experience working with adolescents or 5 years
full-time experience working with adolescents. Experience working
with at-risk youthDSHS background clearanceAcceptable driver's
abstract with no more than 2 violations within last 3 yearsPossess
a valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable
