Job Description:
Covestic is looking for a Product Manager to be responsible for
a portfolio of internal technology platforms, products, services,
and experiences This role will own a portfolio of products
end-to-end - from ideation, planning, prioritizing, delivery, and
ongoing sustainment. The portfolio includes several highly complex
and cross-platform solutions (i.e. ERP) to more contained solutions
(i.e. desk and conference room reservations).

WAResponsibilities:Vision and Analysis:
- Design and drive end-user product research, including
anticipating industry trends and innovation. Analyze potential
impacts or opportunities to customers and products and incorporate
analyses into the ideation and planning with business
partners.
- Partner with business leadership, internal users, and external
experts, to understand current fan, employee, and partner
experience, and identify areas of opportunity.
- Conduct analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to
identify product innovation opportunities and the root cause of
issues to assess opportunity size and impact.
- Define scope for release increments for continual product
maturation; partner with business leaders, engineering/development,
project and program management, and other key stakeholders to
define release schedule and drive go-to-market delivery plans.
- Conduct analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to
identify product innovation opportunities and the root cause of
issues to assess opportunity size and impact.
- Leverage hypothesis-driven testing methodologies and
experiments to inform the direction and prioritize investment;
Conduct cost-benefit / ROI / NPV analysis, to support decision
making.
- Influence, communicate, and present ideas at the executive
level and throughout the organization.
- Own product feature set or technical improvements to improve
the employee experience.Product Execution & Technical Delivery:
- Translate product strategy into tangible tools by writing
detailed features and user stories, including prototypes, as
needed.
- Collaborate with the engineering team and business partners to
architect, design, and assemble effective Agile delivery
teams.
- Scope and ensure alignment on the prioritization of activities
based on business and customer impact. Collaborates with
Architecture and Engineering teams to ensure technical debt and
long-term technology investments are factored into a roadmap.
- Ensure existing production defects are factored into
prioritization for resolution based on priority.
- Collaborate with all project team members (business SMEs,
engineering, IT support, etc.) to develop anticipated release
schedules and create continual communication channels for
transparency on progress.
- Manage and maintain efficient flow of just-in-time feature
grooming activities across all Agile delivery teams throughout
execution, typically maintaining 2 sprints worth user stories
'ready' for Engineering Backlogs.
- Generate and maintains dashboards and reports that track
product health and success metrics, and technical KPI's. Conduct
Product Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR's) and Steering
meetings.
- Runs beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and
samples.
- Support stakeholder teams with the product or technical
knowledge and additional documentation.
- Assist with the overall execution relating to all aspects of
the software development process, from defining the strategy and
architecture to deployment and support.
- Anticipate and communicate business and technical challenges to
stakeholders, including making educated trade-off decisions with
the team.
- Create business readiness/adoption tools and training
materials. Identify execution, operational, and organizational
issues that impede product success. Drive improvement plan to
change or resolve issues (within the sphere of influence).
- Support and enable core agile practices and tenants: efficient
just-in-time flow; lean practices; elimination of waste; DevOps
CICD.
- Provide leadership and thought partnership for the Product
Management & Business Analysis community of practice. Required Hard
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of product management experience in an Agile
software product development environment required;
- Experience delivering large and complex business/technology
initiatives as Product Manager or lead technology role.
- Fluent with SQL, Tableau, and other analytical solutions like
SAS, and SPSS.
- Knowledge and experience with integration patterns, APIs, and
protocols such as REST, EDI, SOAP, etc.
- Working experience and application with DevOps (CI/CT/CD) in an
Agile environment.
- Experience with Agile backlog/project management tools.
- Ability to develop Initiatives, Features, and User Stories that
the DevOps teams can ingest.
- Mastery of:
- customer research, product vision, feature definition,
technical architecture, development, and execution skills.
- Industry-leading understanding of customer and employee
experience.
- understanding of platform technologies and components such as
security, performance, optimization, and API integration.
- Proven success in directing matrixed resources and delivering
software, with Agile/Scrum methodologies and other commonly used
tools, across multiple teams.Desired Hard Skills:
- Scrum Product Owner Certification (CSPO) or Agile Certified
Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is preferred.Soft Skills:
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication and
diplomacy.

non-technical team members
- Effective in working with others to cooperatively solve
problems.Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or
Information Technology required. Equivalent, relevant work
experience may be considered in lieu of formal education, if
approved by management.
