All current and newly hired employees are required to follow onsite safety measures based upon the COVID-19 Community Level at the specific work location.Description:Laser and Sensor Systems (LSS) Maritime and Airborne (M&A) programs team is seeking a self-driven, disciplined leader experienced with successfully delivering complex cross functional projects on schedule within budget. To be successful in this position, the candidate must have the ability to facilitate and drive to closure complex technical/non-technical issues with practical solutions. The candidate must show willingness to dive deep to uncover insights into those issues and their associated solutions. A strong candidate is customer-focused and displays a bias for action in everything they do. The ability to effectively communicate with senior management and other functional departments within the organization is key to success.Specifically, the role is as the deputy program manager for airborne programs within the LSS Maritime and Airborne team. The deputy program manager role is focused on driving day to day actions to closure including holding the matrixed program team accountable for commitments, facilitating administrative activities such as program measurement and control, and providing program direction to multiple teams. The deputy program manager will work closely with the Maritime and Airborne program manager to execute the program workload to successfully deliver internal and external Airborne customer milestones. The role is a critical team member supporting the most advanced programs and products within the Laser and Sensor Systems business.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: --- AHEL--- LANCE--- FLaMES--- Next Generation Laser Weapon System IWTA / IRAD--- Coordinating resource demands across the enterprise functions--- Managing a cross functional team across multiple LM sitesThe airborne deputy program manager acts as an internal and external customer interface for the airborne programs. The airborne deputy program manager executes multiple simultaneous projects including USG contracts, capital projects, and new business funds (NBF) activities.Basic Qualifications:--- 2-4 years of project management such as deputy PM, CAM, Subcontracts PM, etc.--- Experience with and strong track record of earned value management and risk management--- Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)--- Experience in proposal management and cost estimation management processes--- Knowledge of LM RMS's program and financial measurements (orders, sales, EBIT and cash) --- Knowledge of DoD contract types (CPFF, FFP, CPIF, etc.)--- Cross functional team management--- Ability to travel to domestically--- Ability to obtain a security clearanceDesired Skills:--- 2-4 years of LM specific program management roles--- Strong customer collaboration experience, specifically in the areas of SOW development, contract modifications, engineering change proposals, and schedule integration--- Ability to adapt to changing environments while meeting customer requirements and leveraging proven configuration control practices--- Experience with the Air Force or Air Force Research Lab customer--- Experience with Lockheed Martin IWTAs--- Experience with engineering development programs--- Experience with production operations--- Knowledge and/or experience with high energy technologies and associated systems--- Track record transitioning developmental technologies into production--- Experience with accelerated acquisition and/or other transaction authority (OTA) programs--- Data-driven management philosophy including analyzing and understanding project measurements--- Demonstrated maturity, judgement, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills--- Demonstrated track record of delivering results in fluid or ambiguous situations
