Meals on Wheels Manager

Provides direct oversight of the Meals On Wheels (MoW) team,
ensuring the success of the program including meeting or exceeding
contract goals, managing expenses and staffing, and delivering high
quality services to clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that all contract and grant responsibilities are fulfilled,
monitoring on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as needed.
Manage staffing for MoW program, including volunteers. Responsible
for hiring, orienting, training, and day-to-day supervision,
guidance, and performance management.
Coordinate with and provide additional oversight and guidance to
the Nutrition Admin staff and Driver Coordinator to ensure high
quality support to the program and clients.
Provide input into the development of the MoW program budget, and
participate in the monitoring of revenue and expenses to ensure
budget targets are met or exceeded.
Attend and participate in meetings as required, including Nutrition
Department, Manager/Supervisor meetings, and Homage All Staff
meetings. Lead MoW Team meetings.
Complete reports and data entry as needed for both internal and
external partners and deadlines.
Foster relationships with community partners and organizations,
coordinate staffing for outreach and advocacy efforts.
Oversee distribution and tracking of emergency meal packs, client
notices, educational materials and other specialty items.
Employ creative problem solving to ensure effective, efficient,
equitable service for all clients, traditional and

discrepancies, grievances and special accommodations.
Track and manage client volume, route, and funding source
Provide occasional support for delivery operations including meal
packaging and delivery.

Minimum of 2 years supervisory or team leadership experience;
demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and cooperation in a
Current Washington State Food Handlers Card
Effective communication skills, including verbal and written, with
a variety of audiences and stakeholders.
Effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook,
Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); comfortable navigating in
Microsoft Windows environment and using internet browsers; ability
to become proficient in use of program software including
CAREeVantage and Salesforce.
Must be fully vaccinated per program or agency requirements.
Absent any regulatory or contractual requirement for specific
education/certification, other combinations of applicable
education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge,
skills, and abilities necessary to perform effectively in the
position may be considered.
Bachelors degree in nutrition, gerontology, or related field
RDN or DTR credentials
Experience working with elderly and/or disabled individuals.
Experience with diverse communities
Fluency in languages other than English
Work environment and physical demands:
This work is typically performed in an office setting; functions
are usually performed sitting but may spend some amount of time
standing. Some work is performed in a warehouse setting, which
includes time in the walk-in freezer and cooler.
Some amount of bending, lifting, walking, carrying and other
movements may be required.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to interact with people, computers, and office
equipment to perform the Essential Duties and Responsibilities,
with or without accommodations.
Work may include local travel during normal business hours, and
occasional travel for training/conference attendance.
Occasional after hours or weekend events may be required.
This position is primarily onsite, with very occasional remote
