Job Description:

Responsibilities The MEP Program Manager is responsible for providing engineering support for our major equipment on campus including the chiller, Steam Plant and other critical utility and non-utility infrastructure. Provide input into the engineering design of maintenance and capital projects. Requires knowledge of codes and regulations federally and locally including the Department of Ecology, Energy Code, ASHRAE code, City of Seattle and Department of Health.

Reports to Infrastructure Manager. Works closely with Sustainability to ensure energy savings whenever possible. Provide engineering expertise and guidance regarding topics such as sustainability, chillers, boilers, utility infrastructure for maintenance and capital projects. Supports preconstruction activities to ensure consistency with other projects. Ensures all field installations are reviewed and consult on Value Engineering during the design process.

Validates drawings and specifications to accurately reflect the desired construction quality and scope accordance with the design. Establishes a positive working relationship with the project design and construction teams, both internal and external to the client organization. Attends commissioning Tests and ensures all equipment performance is to specifications and approved shop drawings and submittals.

Attends construction and commissioning meetings to keep abreast of project developments, to develop a detailed understanding of the facility design and operation, and to track program changes and their potential impact. Review equipment quality, including review of Specifications. Performs other duties as assigned. Maintain and update MEP standards

Strategy and Goals:- Develop and monitor project/action plans, operational plans, and budget achieve strategic and annual goals

Budget and Program Support:- Manage program to time and budget constraints

Program Management:- Provide strong leadership to the MEP Infrastructure program's team members including coaching, mentoring, and individual growth efforts
