ResponsibilitiesThe IT Senior Project Manager independently manages multiple large size projects through their lifecylce. The Senior Project Manager manages execution of technology projects, coordinating the delivery across multiple internal and external stakeholders. They work with business management to analyze and define the project business case, develop level of effort estimates and manage the project review and initiation process. The Senior Project Manager develops, defines and executes project plans, schedules, budgets, scope and deliverables. They work closely with business and IT managers to create and manage project resource plans and actively manage assigned staff to complete tasks per the agreed to project plan. The Senior Project Manager manages progress from initiation through close, and actively manages project issues and risks, facilitates business decisions and manages project communications and status reporting. They work with business and IS leaders to define and execute organization and support change plans. They are accountable to project leadership to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. They are an active member of the IT Project Management Community and use, support and help improve Children's Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) methodology, guidelines and defined tools. The Senior Project Manager is a mentor for project managers and acts as a project management advocate and champion to the business. This position requires solid experience with IT Infrastructure, such as Network, Telecom, Desktop and Audio/Visual, and experience with Nurse Call, Clinical Engineering and Clinical Applications, such as Epic. Prior IT Facilities Planning, Design and Construction experience in all phases of new builds and remodels, from Plan & Organize, through Schematic and Detailed Design (including work with Architects and Floor Plans), Implementation, Execution and hand offs to Steady State Operations is required. Previous Healthcare experience required, and research infrastructure experience desiredRequirementsRequired Education/Experience: - Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrate technical competence - Minimum of five (5) years managing information technology projectsPreferred: - BA/BS degree - Three (3) years healthcare experience - Healthcare technology support or implementation experience - Knowledge of healthcare systems - Financial management experience - Vendor management experience - Understanding of both waterfall and agile project management methodologies - Project management and Agile certification About Us Hope.
